Quoted from OLDPINGUY:Inside info said 100% Aerosmith in the Fall.
Jeez Louise! I'm sure somebody will buy it. But as big an Aerosmith fan I was in 1976, I outgrew it a long time ago. Pinball really is hanging by a thread now, isn't it..

Quoted from o-din:I just don't see the appeal of rehashing kiddie or any other movies from the 80s anymore.
I agree with kiddie part but the 70's and 80's for me was the pinnacle of great cinema and the best themes to me exist in that era, along with the best music and of course the best hair do's, now every guy who starts balding shaves his head, its like a giant army of dickheads out there, but I regress.
Quoted from Hazoff:I agree with kiddie part but the 70's and 80's for me was the pinnacle of great cinema and the best themes to me exist in that era
There were a lot of great movies that I still enjoy now and then. But why for pinball? You watch the movie, then put it away until you get the urge again. Which may not be for months. For me a retro pinball theme should represent something more than just a 30 year old movie.
Look at Creech. They made it a theme within a theme that represented a culture in time, the drive in movie culture, and ended up with a classic pinball machine, not just some old movie poster. That kind of creativity seems very lacking today.

Mine is still hanging on my shoulders.... whats left of it.
Quoted from weapon76:Did he mention if Star Wars is being released down the track?
Nothing mentioned.
I think an outer space theme not based on any movie could be awesome. There is so much material to work with. Kind of an original science fiction theme. I guess Big Bang bar is the last time that was tried.

I agree 100% theres a lot of talk based on theme's and entirely licensed based, I would much prefer original stuff, a space theme would be great.
Quoted from E_N_3:Maybe it's dead pool ....
Gosh, I hope not...I've overspent this year already. Dead Pool would be awesome though.
Quoted from someoneelse:Nope. Same here.
It usually means you were born before 1970 or after 1985.
Born before 70 you'd be 16+ when Goonies came out and with 16 your focus is on girls - not kiddie movies.
After 1985 you just missed it when it was popular.
I only know Goonies from TV re-runs after 2000...
Saw Goonies with my Dad in the 80's. It's one of his favorites. But then again, my Dad was kinda cool.
If we're strolling down memory lane anyway - how about Logan's Run (there are rumors about a remake, so it would fulfill the "Stern Criteria").
I just love the style and artwork from the late 60s/early 70s.
To me, the main difference between the old stuff and newer themes is that the new stuff is just completely faceless, exchangeable and often just flat out dumb. Do you really want a pin based on e.g. Deadpool??? Basically a non-movie that only works because it cashes in on the natural aversion of people towards the current political correctness craze. It's a nerve-wrecking, obviously insecure since constantly babbling idiot that no one will even know existed 20 years from now. But whoooo, he said "f*ck" in a public theatre, now that's really "dark" and "gritty"...if you're 7 years old maybe...

I would love that. Be great if it was a spoof with a ton of humor. Doubt Stern would do that, though. Probably stick with same formula that has worked. Can't blame them since they can't make them fast enough.
Quoted from someoneelse:how about Logan's Run (there are rumors about a remake, so it would fulfill the "Stern Criteria").
Logan's Run was classic! Saw it in the theatre when it came out. Not sure very many of these 80s kids have ever heard of it though. And that in itself may be one of the top Stern criterias.

RUN, RUNNER!!!
Quoted from o-din:There was plenty of eye candy in that movie.
And now she's dead. THAT'S a real buzzkill.
We were 13 years old and won tickets to see Logans Run from a radio station. We rode our bikes all the way to Newport Beach to see it and our tickets were supposed to be on will call. We get there and nope! They didn't know what we were talking about. Plus I think it was an R rated movie to boot. But the manager was cool and let us in to see it...
Edit- 14 years old. Time flies when you're having fun.
Quoted from TigerLaw:Jurassic World would be cool. Only Dead Pool would make me open up my wallet immediately though.
Ya, I would have to live in the box it came in but for a Deadpool or Goonies Pin I would
Quoted from freezie:I would love to see "a Christmas story" as a pin . Won't happen , but it would be funny!
Ohhhhh Fuuuuuuudddgeeee....would that be a funny pin.
Quoted from o-din:How hard would it be to license Johnny Sokko?
I could get down with that but I'm a little more Ultraman myself.
Quoted from HighProtein:WORLD OF WARCRAFT!
I would buy it. I don't play anymore, but had some good memories.
Quoted from PinballManiac40:Next Stern machine will be incomplete code and $600 topper
Sure sure, and it will have 4 legs and some pinballs in it; tell us something we don't know
Can we just get a Ready Player One pin? On top of being a great book with an upcoming movie, it also references half of the 70s and 80s things that keep getting mentioned here. That way, Stern could cover multiple retro licenses all while appearing to stay current.
(i know in reality it would be a licensing nightmare with the abundance of different licenses that could be involved but i can dream, right?)
Quoted from TheLaw:Sure sure, and it will have 4 legs and some pinballs in it; tell us something we don't know
Aerosmith in the Fall and Star Wars in March 2017 based on episodes 4,5 and 6.

Most people still think "the Force Awakens" as the Star Wars pin that is due out. 3 more years for the new series to have its own pin.
Quoted from TheLaw:I said something we DON'T know!
There will not be an Iron Maiden pin. How about that?
Quoted from PinballManiac40:There will not be an Iron Maiden pin. How about that?
hahaha...but they're the biggest band in South America!?!

Missed one.
Quoted from PinballManiac40:For fall of 2017?
I'll say that will be Justice League.
Quoted from E_N_3:Maybe it's dead pool ....
I just watched this last night. Loved it!

But they already have pins based on Episodes 1, 4, 5, and 6. What they really need to do to bring balance to the Force is make one for Episodes 2 and 3 next.

DE Star Wars was a generic themed game. Nothing specific in the game that ties in with all the different movies, other than some artwork. 3 years from now we'll see one for the new Episodes.
Quoted from TheLaw:We can only hope it comes out as great as Avengers!
Sounds like a bit of
