I'm 3 and a half hours away. I have one that is currently working but has an intermittent fuse situation I'm trying to figure out. Was thinking about selling eventually.

I'll shoot you a pm
Aaaah still the old pictures with the weak brackets left and right!
You know very well that the holders break off very often depending of the fragile material.
Show us pictures with the improved holders.

On my pinball machine, version 1 is still installed without problems. In any case you are right, here is the photo of the reinforced v2 currently on sale.
52eced2f-468d-45fe-8f2a-2c216cb3aa6f (resized).jpgI have made a little mod for my T2, 3D slingshot hands to improve the lower playfield.
If interested you can read more about it here https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/3d-slingshots-hands-for-terminator-2

I saw these on your FB post. Amazing work!
Are you working on other mods? I mean in gral. Or is this the first one ever made?

I have sold a couple of toppers for Indiana jones in Denmark, not really possible to ship toppers far due to cost. Also created an oxygen destroyer topper for my godzilla. I have also previously posted pictures and video of a T-800 topper I made for my T2.
IMG_1784 (resized).jpegIMG_1883 (resized).jpegIMG_2587 (resized).jpegI suspect we could work something out on shipping
if we bought MANY at once. Pm me if that's something you'd like to discuss. Thanks.

very nice work. I will be sending you a message.
Quick question about the 1-bank drop target assembly (A-14615). The "pin" that moves the target up when the coil is fired is broken, see pic. I wonder if anyone possibly could measure the length of the broke part, så that I can figure out how to build myself a new one (or repair the current one)
Thanks!
Quoted from LTG:I don't have it handy. Here is a picture. You can see how far it sticks out and maybe guess the length. It can stick out more, so doesn't have to be exact.

Ive seen old house keys used for this...

Thank u! I think I managed to make a substitute however, pushing the coil (plunger) in by hand don't make the drop target stay up - but it stays up if the target itself is pulled up by hand. Is it supposed to be like this or is something still wrong?
I can't test it in game yet since I have the pf pulled out for the moment.
While I'm at it, I read something about diode tieback, is it on this coil that it should be done? Are there any other places that also should have this tieback?
Cheers!

Be sure it is assembled right. Here is a picture of the other side of my previous picture.
Both pictures may help you.

LTG many thanks for your advises!
Are you sure that no diode tieback is needed in T2? I am reading this:
https://pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php/Terminator_2:_Judgement_Day
I can´t open the images in the above link (to make them bigger), is Pinside having problems?
About the drop target not staying up when pushing *coil* by hand: if I understand your answer correct, it SHOULD stay up? Have you verified that (i.e. are you sure?) before I go down the troubleshooting way...
Thanks a lot
The target should stay up indeed after the large coil fires. The small coil with knock it off its ledge if the target needs to go down (or it goes down after hit by a ball..)
Quoted from jrcmlc:depuked it to start
Mine came with all blues and reds in the GI as well. All the rage some years ago I guess. Now luckily most people have come to their senses and use warm whites...

I was wrong. Looks like you need the tie back.

Thanks for confirming that man
Regarding the drop down, I will have to troubleshoot why it only stays up when pushed by hand and not when the coil is pushed by hand... hopefully I'll find the reason
Thanks everyone that helped, especially with the pics!
In case anyone can't figure out why they would ever need TWO sets of our playfield jacks, this is one use case. SOOOO much easier to do this kind of work with the PF all the way out like this, safely supported on 2 sets of our rubber jacks. Set it there by myself even.

This game came from a guys house and had been there for decades...with the original rubbers on almost everything, I think he just waxed it and let the rubber get all funky in the wax residue or something.

You aint seen nothing yet, lol...
Ive dealt with MUCH worse.

Mr miatio made the kid clean the all house for free!!! If he does that movie now Will be call child abuse Lol
Some progress. The terminator head is going to be an issue, one of the rivets is broken, plastics broken, fairly hard to tell how it all goes together... Might post about that later.

I posted some things about mine in this thread.
Maybe it will help.
Anyone have an issue with their drop target not putting up enough resistance to the ball when it’s hit, thus allowing the ball to drop the target and continue forward into the skull lock in the same shot? I just picked up a T2, and the drop works, but as I stated, it drops so easily that the ball rarely ever gets “rejected” by it, and so it usually doesn’t provide the “drop the target, then shoot again to lock the ball” path, but instead is just “shoot the shot and it’s basically like the drop target isn’t there, come on in!”
Is there a way to tighten or otherwise reinforce the drop target to make it more resistant to the ball to correct this behavior?
Additionally, any way to weaken the top right kickout? As far as I’m aware, isn’t it supposed to kick the ball out so it dribbles into the rollover lanes and into the pops? Mine is so strong is kicks it back down the left orbit. Maybe someone replaced the coil with one that is too strong or something?
Quoted from zeldarioid:it drops so easily
Just checking mine, but it drops with a very light touch. However it is enough to send the ball back down in 95% of the cases. Only very rarely when the ball moves really slow there is enough forward movement to go in. When there is enough speed the ball is returned by the target before it is down effectively. Maybe share some pictures of your setup?
Quoted from zeldarioid:any way to weaken the top right kickout
The coil for that kick out should be a 26-1500. You can bend the lever slightly so it effectively moves to the side of the ball instead of dead center. That will slow it down.
There has to be an order to how this thing all assembles around that up shot wireform, I imagine there 9 ways to do it wrong and one to do it right. Does all of it get assembled and then wrapped around the wireform is the wireform supposed to be out when this is installed and then the wireform installed after? So much of mine was broken that it may have come apart in a way that, when not broken any longer, or can't go back in that way.

A picture would help.
The VUK installs from under the playfield. Is this what you are talking about?
I will take one when I'm near it, thanks. I'm talking about the t1000 head and all the plastics around it, the metal ring around the back etc. I got all of that off in one piece but parts are broken, once I fix them, I'm not sure it'll go back in the same way I removed it lol.

I can take pics of my game if you need it
It all does go together in an odd way, but makes sense once its all assembled.
Mine was assenbled TOTALLY wong lol.
But hour on the web helped me get it right.
The one thing that threw me was the big piece of foam in the skull.
Thats was ACTUALLY a fix recommended as a service bulletin.
So, I made a new piece of foam, BETTER, and got it assembled correctly.
The service bulletin mentioned using packing material from the game setup etc...
The stainless guard surround? it goes on loosely as per spec, but is interesting as it stands.
no foam here. lol
