Bruins win games but just a boring team to watch. Remind me of the Devils years ago.

7 goals on 23 shots. Avs don't have a prayer with Georgie giving up a goal every 4 shots. They knew they had goaltender issues all season long and did nothing about it. Can't win hockey games when you have to score 6 goals a night to cover your tendy's GAA.

the leafs know that too well !

Murray is close to coming back but he's let up a deluge of goals in the minors. Unfortunately for the Leafs he's not the answer even if he comes back.

Having not played and having surgery since last game played I'm not shocked.

3/4 so far these playoffs.

Betting against my Leafs again. I'm a conflicted dirty bastard.

Everyone here at work is in a good mood for a Monday..how bout those fn Canucks!

#5562 24 days ago

Matt Stone is back in the lineup for Vegas.

How come salary caps for teams disappear in the playoffs?

Vegas has all the tricks, that's for sure.

Owners didn't want caps because they wanted something that allowed them to replace injured players during the playoffs.

So they faked Stone's spleen injury? Or, did they really want to face Dallas in the opening round.

#5566 24 days ago

Looks like Nylander will miss game 2. Something is up with that situation.

Maybe the other 21 players will show up for the important game 2..

Where'd you see that?

TSN talking head Mark Masters.

Was a nail biter for sure. So great to see depth players have such an impact.

Could def. see Hughes was playing safe, which works in his role.. Thinking forward to the Oilers game, will be interesting to see if McDavid can perform at the level he needs to while staying safe as well... Happy to see whistles mostly put away it seems.

No, they did not fake it. But they took full advantage of the situation since he couldn't come back during the regular season without them shedding some players or salary. The same thing happened last year, same player, same amount of games. So, call it what you will.

Dallas, on the other hand, just sent Logan Stankhoven back and forth to the AHL (on paper only) for the last two months to accrue money against the cap. That is due to contract bonuses that will need to be paid in the offseason.

You're not comparing the two situations are you???

I'm betting it's gamesmanship... and Nylander plays.

Quoted from Canuck_pinhead:

They are not direct comparisons. One is about saving money this year and one is about next year. If the Knights win the Cup, congrats on a well played scenario. If they don’t, a bunch of folks will be wearing new sweaters next year regardless.

Nylander out for game #2. It's official.

They can't all be like the Jets/Avs.

I wonder if the Oilers jinx hat is being worn tonight?

Quoted from ImNotNorm:

True! Just expected it to be better for some reason.

#5580 23 days ago

Big response from the Leafs.

Nope, I need them to get out of the first round.

#5584 23 days ago

The Leafs 4th line was their best line in the 1st period.

Of course Mark Stone scores the first goal in the Vegas/Dallas series.

Kind of predictable.. Sigh.

I think our backups are pretty solid.. But not going to steal games like demko can.
