Those hinges are nice... where did you get them?
Quoted from Kerry_Richard:Those hinges are nice... where did you get them?
I had a factory set of hinges cut out and powder coated. Local machine shop I’m friends with did them for me at a decent price.
Quoted from Bulskis9298:Hard to get a good pic with the lighting but I have my side rails and hinges installed

AC/DC in the foreground and Kiss in the back. Feels like we have the same music theme going! Although I don't have Kiss yet...Iron Maiden and Rush to go with AC/DC and Aerosmith. Rush had to go on a different wall.

Looks like we do lol. I want another one but I might be out of room. No kiss pinball, I did have 2 ballys kiss machines but sold both of them I thought they were boring. Actually sold it to buy Aerosmith.

Don't underestimate the king,
Elvis is a great Spike 1
Sometimes, "Can I play with madness" gets annoying.

Elvis was Whitestar.
Does Stern still produce and sell replacement node boards for the earlier spike 2 games that are no longer in production? If your game has a node board that is damaged beyond repair does that mean your machine is essentially a boat anchor unless you can find a used one?

I had the Flipper node board fail and stern it in stock.

Recently or several years ago?
Many of the retailers have node boards.
Nitro here in Canada has some.
I recently got a CPU for Aerosmith, quick and easy.
Node boards are made to be disposable, there should be supplies of them.
If you want BS, order parts for a boutique or private label Stern. It takes weeks, and then you open a second ticket to remind them that they have done nothing.

I just replaced it last month.
Does anyone know the wiring configuration for the Aerosmith topper? There is a Cat5 type of plug which I assume is what controls the color scheme in game but also a 2 wire Molex plug which I'm assuming is 12v power?
The reason I'm asking is I don't have the machine at the moment and only the topper that I've had Joe sign. I have it currently on top of my Megacade to at least have on display until I obtain a premium Aerosmith. However, in the meantime I'd like to at least be able to power up the topper for display purposes.
I have the magnetic panel and it matched the pro quite well
Only bothered because Heavy Metal as a panel
Had to get speaker panels for HM to catch up.
Would you guys mind measuring the scoop? I’m trying to find a Cliffy that fits my custom game, and Aerosmith seems close. Thanks!
Hey Sparkies cousin or whatever his name is heads flew off! Ha! Who's laughing now! Fortunately it landed out of the way and I could finish the game. Not sure how to fix. The spring snapped. Might be able to put a plastic or rubber rod in. Or stick a dolls head on or something for now lol
20240328_122107 (resized).jpgThe lid and a spare jester head were parts that came home from the showroom with the pin.
Maybe you can turn it into a shooter rod, now that it's broken and all...
Jester head assembly (515-9965-00) $90 in 2020
Pinball Pro has the Dirty Donny hand painted toy box for 300 usd....
Think of all the $ you would spend, just to destroy it over time.
In stock at Pinball Life for $300. Ouch alright. If I cant fix it myself I'll check the local pinball outlets then probably off to the local engineering shop, they're pretty handy.

This ^
Attempt to fix it or get help before spending $300
Let us know how it goes
I repaired my jester head using hot glue. Just mashed what was left of the spring into a blob of glue and its been solid for thousands of plays.
i push both flipper buttons before it shoots the ball, so it doesnt lob it up at Jacky's head.
instead does a low shot to the bottom of the Toy Box, often hitting the VIP targets.
helps reduce airballs/high ball-drops on PF over lifetime, and as I learned just now apparently also helps save Jacky’s head lol
Putting Jacky's head back on was an easy fix.
I undid the screw on his back and the broken spring slid out. It's quite long with an inch and a half to spare.
It screwed into the broken bit of spring in his head like it was meant to be.
A bit of glue to stop it unwinding and it's stronger than ever.
Quoted from hawkeyexx:Looks like a common spring you can buy.
If you could find an identical one the hard part would be getting the broken bit out of his head. It's firmly stuck in.
And then youd have to fix the new spring in.
I was pleased with the quick fix and the way he said 'Are we gonna score some points now.?'

Happy it's been repaired.
