i couldn't rate this game any lower. The third "flipper" sux. Everything else is utterly forgettable. If you see this game for sale it's likely because the owner feels the same way. If you are a big Monopoly fan, you might feel differently but I cannot fathom Monopoly people and pinball people ever really crossing paths. Horrible idea to create this pin. Honestly, it is the worst pin I have ever played.

I found this game fun, thought the playfield was a little squashed , in fairness I played it on location so didn't work all the rules out, but I thought the bank and the robotic flipper are a good idea, good multiball ,thought the wire form ramp was very close, reminded me of a data east game, but it makes the game different, it is a good game, enjoyed my time on it, don't need to own it , but for the right price could change my mind, great for a family pin.

Is there another game on the market that has 6 pop-bumpers?

True to the game. A family favorite.

So many Multi-Ball modes. But they are not all given to you like in some more recent Stern games. You have to earn them. Play with the adjustments (I like to set my games hard for home use) ... and man you really have to earn them.

Tried the home Roms. Meh ... prefered the regular ones. Like the more random rolling and moving around the board.

Tons to shoot for. The voice they chose to play Mr. Monopoly is perfect ... so great call-outs. Some fun mode stacking.

Scoring is low compared to most modern games. I like it. Once again, you have to EARN IT! Great for tournament play.

A lot of people really dig the In-Your-Face railroad ramp. I am not as ga-ga over it ... but it is cool. You do have to be on your toes, as the ball comes right back at you pretty fast (but not as fast as the U-Turn on my slick BK2K!

Overall, an overlooked and vastly underrated game ... possibly because the theme. No sexy babes on this one. Still, a great tip of the hat to a classic board game.

Fun unique layout. Definitely screams Lawlor. A complete board on the PF is pretty cool. The RR ramp on the left side of the PF does make it feel a bit crowded though.

The only one I had played in the past was in desperate need of a tuneup and thus not much fun. The Pizza Oven had one that's one of the smoothest plays I've had in a while. This one does have a fun factor with it, but takes a bit to acclimate to.

This game is fun for all ability levels. It's that simple, better than a lot of pins that have much higher ratings, that is for shizzle.

Monopoly was the first Stern game designed by Pat Lawlor. This table is varied, creative and implements the entire theme incredibly well.

The Pros:
The theme is king here. John Youssi did a great illustration for the BG as well as the rest of the game. The colors are vibrant and you get the feel of a board game with the interactive PF inserts/lights as well as the BG. Rules are straightforward and incorporate the pf lights into the "board" of the game. The look reminds me of Safecracker in all the right ways.

The Cons:
The railroad ramp... I just don't like short ramps 1/3 of the way up the pf... wouldn't you know... it still works pretty well.

The Takeaway:
A great "simpler" game from PLD. The game is fun and even when going through the wz mode a few times in a game, it does not get boring. Sets the standard for post-williams PLD designs. A cool table and an entertaining game for players and kids of any age.

I really found this game to be fun. I was able to get my hands a REALLY NICE HUO machine so I felt I got the full experience. For me I had a blast, but it just didn't have the lasting power and I can't put my finger on why exactly. Others who played it at my house really liked it so not too sure what was not fun about it for me over long periods. I do play it frequently though!

I want to update this after a lot more plays and really wish they incorporated the game Monopoly into it a lot better as well.

I found playing the game to be quite fun, but despite my years of education I couldn't really figure out how it related to Monopoly or what the point of it all was. After about a dozen plays I had enjoyed its clever design and ingenious shots, but I didn't really want to continue playing. At the end of the day I'm just not sure that Monopoly and pinball make for a very satisfying combination.

I wasn't very impressed with Monopoly. It's fun, but I just didn't find anything too special about it.

Way underrated game I think. Love Lawlor games to begin with but this one is unique and fun in it's own ways. Very col layout for different shots, tons of multiballs. Spinning flipper is not my favorite toy and can get a little annoying but I like machines with a little something different and this has it.

Pretty good late Lawler pin, but held back because of it's cheap Stern build quality and feel.
Fun theme, and lots of depth and scoring strategy to it.

I'ts like if TAF and TZ had a cute lovechild that turned out to have autism (at least that's the joke we make at my closest pin arcade). lol
Not a bad game at all. :)

Monopoly is a fun game. Its definitely a little short on toys, but it has lots of shots. 5 multi balls plus a wizard mode, great sound. The theme while some may not like it, is very well implemented into the game. I sold my NGG to get this game for something new...and honestly NGG is probably better but Monopoly is a good game...has better shots and gameplay just not as many fun toys :)

Monopoly is a diffrent pinball. The top half of the game is blocked off from all the other toys, so you must use the 3rd flipper to make the shots on the top half. The pinball is fun to play though. The music plays very low. I wish their was a way to make the music loader but keep the voices low.

LOVE THIS GAME -- this was the first Pinball machine that my family and I purchased (2010). We love the Monopoly themed games so we thought this would be a great machine. Guess what ... it was! Fun, fast and totally keeps you coming back for more. If you are ever thinking about buying a machine and enjoy the Monopoly theme then this is a must have for your collection. All pinball machines can't be in the Top 25 but this game should be in the Top 50 at the very least!

Bought this totally refurbished pin mainly based on knowing the Monopoly game and seeing the great artwork on the play field and the translite. It's a good looking machine. The rule set is fun and the pin is probably under-rated.

Monopoly is very entertaining. The play field is a bit crowded, but the ball flows very well. The rotating flipper, while annoying to many, creates additional challenges for the player. The sounds and commentaries are hilarious. Multi-ball is fun and provides good scores. This pinball was exceptionally developed. Althought I understand some of the dislikes, I have had hours of fun playing it. Definitively a good pin for fun and entertainment.

I like the pf, shots, and toys on this game but something is missing. I'm not sure if the theme kills it for me but the game is not very exciting. For an early Stern Lawlor game I would go with Ripley's

Its too bad when a game gets trashed just because of the theme. Believe me, no one hates the board game Monopoly more than me. However, for some reason this theme works really well in a pin. The theme is integrated really well with the board in the middle and the object to move around collecting properties. The sounds and music are charming - and the artwork is pleasing. The only gripe about the artwork...is the lack of artwork in some areas.
There are plenty of shots, including 4 ramps, but its doesn't really ever feel cluttered for how many shots there are.
I'm a bit dissapointed that currently there are no rules on how to increase the regular multiball jackpot or rail road jackpot. That aside, I like the rules and the modes are fun.
Overall this is a very fun game.
