Got the 'Billion Point Shot" the first time I played this pin. I love the gameplay, music and artwork, but she's a bit too easy for a log-term relationship. ;P

My god, she's alive! Very nice pin with a lot of flow and nice combo shot. A bit linear rules but even now still fun to play.

A great original theme, beautifully realized. Scoring is unbalanced, but you must work HARD to get the Billion Point Shot!

Say what you will about the game having uneven scoring, but it still looks and plays great. Who doesn't like hitting the shuttle ramp to rotate the head? The best part of the game is the lighting effect for bringing her to life.

This is one of my All Time Favorites. The play is challenging and watching the bride go through all the stages of transformation is fun. The out lanes can really tick me off but overall I find myself coming back to this machine time and time again. Love it.

Though BOP is viewed as a "one shot game" everything else about the table elevates well above that moniker. The light show and sound are top notch. Playing BOP in the dark is a sight to behold. Superb artwork all around and Python's suggesive tidbits are fun to look for. I don't know if the last-ability is there in a small collection and I'd sooner get a Pinbot, but there is no denying the audio/visual appeal of this pin.

The turning head on this pin is a great feature and a great goal to work towards. This pin has some brutal STDM shots. The goals are pretty simple and can at times be repetitive. i still love this pin and don't see it going away anytime soon.

I really enjoyed it. Some of the most funny call outs I have heard in my short pinball career. I loved the sound and they way Pinbot and Bride spoke to eachother. Really great backglass art depicting the construction of Bride.

Another follow up to an original pin that doesn't do justice to the original pin.

Originality: yes

Art/Lights/Theme: It's ok to me. I am not a fan of the masculine looking faces.

Sound/Callouts: Can't hear them, I'm playing in an arcade.

Flow: none. Shots die out or get their velocity altered somehow. Zero flow, with the exception of the horseshoe shot.

Toys: Big space-waster. Very cool the first time you play it. Not so cool the 10th time.

Ball Control/Hazards: Barry Orsler is notorious for evil outlanes. They are here as well. Other than that, it's an easy game to play. Easy to milk ramps over and over.

Balanced Scoring: The fact that you can milk ramps means you can soak up big scores with little effort.

Fun/Lastability:
I see little reason to play it again.

Symmetry: Too symmetrical. Ball flow is too predictable over all.

The same year that BBBB was produced as a "cost-saver game", Machine was released. And trust me when I say it's quite a bit better. The goal of The Machine machine is to turn the at first Pin*Bot type robot into a real woman. This is accomplished by shooting a ramp and allowing the Machine to turn heads. This climaxes into a two-ball multiball where you have to shoot the robot again and again for huge rewards, including an awesome billion-point shot - unbalanced, but risky! Combine this great ruleset with brilliant light shows, inventive play field art, and some awesome flow, and you have a great game. Thanks to FarSight for this gem of a game!

This is a classic game that has great playability. It's almost as if they took the magic of the disco era of the 1970s with the early gadget era of the 1980s and mixed it in with a futuristic theme that reminds me of the movie "The 5th Element" when the robot sings. I have always wanted this pin and now that I have it, it's a keeper that will be played again, and again, and again. It's a true piece of art...

Great lightshow considering the machine's age. Really enjoying playing despite the scoring imbalance created by the billion point shot. Mainly need to focus on left ramp shots, but fun and flows great despite that. Biggest complaint is that a plunge feeds the pop bumpers and always seems to want to drain straight down the middle for me.

In my house for about 2 years.

The good. The fabulous light show. Transformation is very intense. The face. The music. The callouts. The sounds. Its a theme I'm comfortable with. The billion point payoff. And I happen to think it all comes together quite well.

The not so good. Its obvious that the left ramp is the main (only) shot of this game....and may get old after a person dials in on the left ramp shot. Uneven scoring with basically nothing to shoot for with the left flipper.

Still pondering the possibility of the BOP 2.0 upgrade but with a cost of approx. $1950 would like to see and definitely play it. Personally, I wasn't all that impressed with videos I saw of BOP 2.0.

Highly recommend. This is indeed lots of pin for the money. I still enjoy as much as the first game I played. No, it isn't complicated like the modern games, but clearly, a classic. Sort of like a 66 Mustang Convertible.

I've owned it long enough to master the game. Billion point games are common. Uneven scoring or not, its a fun game.

Love this game. And although I still prefer the original to the Bride, I have to give her credit for changing things up.

Pros: Great Speech on the Bride (except the stupid singing), Cool ramps and shots, cool idea with the rotating visor, awesome artwork and theme (Python), fun and funky layout with decent flow.

Cons: The male sound effect "My God, She's Alive!" is stupid. The music is not so good, and the original had some of the best, so this is a major letdown. Game play becomes a bit monotonous after a few games with the left ramp shots. I wouldn't want this one to be the only game I owned. Lacks lastability.

Too much left ramp shooting for me, with a better rule set I think this would be much higher. Gets a bit old after awhile. Music is perfect for the theme, sound is quality as well.

Artwork and theme is cool. The twirling head is clever and unique. The game strategy is straight forward. Although it is a lot of left ramp shooting (monotonous) the game still plays well, is addicting, and a lot of fun. This one is on my A list.

Definately a one shot wonder, but a great playing machine. One of Williams last alpha-numeric displayed games, the turning head and billion point shot make you come back for more!

Great art and sound package on this game. "My god, she's alive!" I love it and its always a favourite of visitors to. The game also has some really nice flow with the ramps and loops but if your a bit off your game if will punish you very quickly.

This game is in a class by itself as far as I am concerned. It does get a little tiring at times but if you are not concentrating on the left ramp shot and play the whole field it is a blast.

Neat game put a little too far removed from the Pinot magic that made pinbot so successful. The main toy takes up too much of the game.

I really don't understand where some reviewers have described TAF or TZ as "difficult" and "discouraging or frustrating to novice players." TZ is the more challenging of those two, but tables like these clearly fall into the 'Moderate" or "Average' range for difficulty. If you're looking for an accurate choice for 'difficult', go with games like Bram Stoker's Dracula or **this** one. Machine Bride has NO Ball Save (unless there are some settings only available to Owner / Operators that I'm unaware of, which I suppose is possible), and is absolutely MERCILESS when it comes to drains. Unless you are a table-nudging wizard, I guarantee you will lose MANY MANY balls down the middle and around both sides ! There are obvious "Sucker" shots to tempt you. As "Mr. T" of the A-Team might have put it, 'I pity the fool who tries to nail that Center Ramp shot from the Left flipper !' The Small Wheel shot is quite tough too, and can be a killer.

All that said, I can't think of anything else in pinball like those revolving faces -- one of the all- time brilliant design features. The Metamorphosis is always a thrill to achieve, and may not even garner you a replay, depending ! The backglass artwork is as stunningly iconic as any to be found in the history of pinball. Stephanie's voice work is spot on. (O.K., that Billion points shot is just a gimmick . . . but I've only hit it once.) Is this a long term keeper ? In a larger collection, I'd say definitely YES !

Beautiful machine -- hard pressed to find a better looking backglass, cabinet or playfield. Yes, the rules are shallow, but it is hard to beat the satisfaction of metamorphosis, spin big wheel, and nailing the billion shot followed by "welcome to the billionaires club". Beginners and casual players love this machine.

I really learned about this machine from the iOS virtual pinball software - The Pinball Arcade. I loved the artwork, theme and sounds so much it quickly became one of the top machines I wanted once I decided to really get into pinball and bring home a game or two. I got to play one while looking at a project game at someone's house. His was diamond-plated and in great condition. I didn't really play more than a game to be polite but decided it was still a machine I wanted. Literally the next day an ad showed up here for one that was not fully working.

When I arrived to look at the Machine it was working even less than the description, some inserts lifting and heavy wear to a few areas of the playfield. Even cleaned up and fixed it would be a player's game. However, owing to the problems it had the price came down to where I was glad to pack it up and bring her home to work out the kinks. Besides all of this I am strongly considering the dutch pinball 2.0 project when it becomes available, hopefully later this year.

On to the game.

Artwork: I love the artwork on Pin*Bot and this is even better. Every aspect suits the theme and the everything from the playfield to the cabinet and backglass are excellently conceived and executed. Additionally, the light show is great. I've put some colored LEDs in on the skill shot 'egg crate' and think it adds wonderfully. I plan to do some more LED customization over time but even stock the light show is great with wonderfully colored inserts throughout the playfield.

Theme: Excellent, I love space themes and this one carries it off wonderfully.

Gameplay: The most common complaint people make about BOP is that it is a one-shot game. If/when I get that one shot, perhaps I'll agree, for a minute. Yes, the Billion Point shot makes the rest of the game 'pointless' if that is the only aim. However, it is trickier to get to that ramp than it seems and to do it 9 times (with the right Big Wheel spin) on one ball is even trickier (I suppose it can be done in 8 shots really). There are no drop targets and the playfield really does feel short owing to the head unit and pachinko style upper playfield but I don't feel that it detracts from the game. You have two ramps, two loops, and a side wall shot plus three standing targets to aim for including the jet bumper lane. I have fun trying to get multiple heartbeat ramp shots or multiple loop shots on either/both sides. All in all, even while I have to get this thing cleaned up and some PF repair done, I cannot stop playing!

I would say that if this were my only pin it might be harder to hold onto given the shorter feeling playfield and lack of drop targets. However, it would still be hard to get rid of, it is truly a sexy, challenging machine.
