Spinning thing in the middle was odd for me at first, and generally don't like that since it makes aiming hard. But loved it when the magnet kicks in for multi-ball play.

Multi-ball aspects were the best aspect for me. Hard to hear it in the arcade we were at so didn't rate that aspect. (11/3)

Spinning Disc and Multi-Ball -- its all you need to know.
The disc will keep you on your toes as it spins and directs the ball in any number of directions. Good aim is helpful as the main shots can be tight; I experienced quite a few rejections my first couple games.
Quite a bit of visual stimulation on this game; glad I was able to spend some time on it but probably not one I'd bring home. Just not enough depth. . . better suited to a larger collection.

Good family theme game. Great for the novice player. Some tight shots but fun when you hit them.

If you like multiball then this is a game for you. You plunge the ball, hit some targets, you get multiball. You get another multiball for getting multiball. You lose your multiball, you get a multiball for that.
All in all its s gun game but not on my short list to own. Again, a good location game and or home game for a novice player.

This game is a sleeper. It has a very simple rules set and a lot of fun play over and over again. Multi-Ball is crazy.

The start of the multiball is worth the price of admission. Very cool magnet effect...gets 4 balls locked together...spins a disc and lets them loose. Play very similar to other Sega, Starship troopers.

Bad pin, way too easy and repetitive, MB way to easy, little to do, not a fan of the theme and its executed poorly with ugly imagery, uses magnetic spinner like twoister...another SEGA machine.

SEGA, yet another bit of rubbish they produced....Positive- they only made 600 of these lol

Lost in Space is the older and slightly smarter version of Twister.

The Pros:
A solid PF layout with six tight and flowing shots. Good placement of standups and spinners. Lots of multiball modes to keep you entertained. The spinning magnetic disc shows up once again!

The Cons:
Other than multiball modes... what is there to do on this game? Spelling R-O-B-O-T over and over and over and over is mindnumbing... Art and sound package is muddy. Hold the right flipper button when starting the game to engage the wizard mode... why bother earning it when it's a gimme?

The Takeaway:
If you love to play multiball... play this game. When properly tuned, it is blindingly fast. Players looking for depth and strategy, will want to consider other decks.

Update:
Well I got the chance to play a really nice copy of this game and it made me look silly. The more I played it the more I realized it felt like one of my fav Sega games... Gahd-Zee-Ruhh! Is this game perfect, no. But it is one of the better playing Sega games and it much more fun than I originally thought. No modes, but why worry about modes when multiball is all over! Lots to do in multiball modes, especially when spelling warning. Rip the robot for sooopah! The pops increase the fighter JP, rip the spinner if ya can! Condition Red is the least valuable of the multiballs unless you are brave enough to go for the standups. Then your score can really benefit. Out of multiball? Find another one... Rinse and repeat. If you want to hone your multibalwz skills, this may be your deck!!! I ususally don't care for LED's, but this game is pretty dark and some light would help the visibility on the PF. 5 pops on the upper PF are a nice touch and this game can definitely be "nastified" to make it a challenging deck for even top level player. And f$&k it... Soooooo, it's not Lord of the Rings. It's more like a system 11 multi-bawlz-fest. This game is a FUN game. I like it more and more, the more I play it. And as Martha would say: "It's a good thing..."

Last lane outlane drain: "Oh the pain..."

First off, this machine does not have a deep ruleset. However, that is not a bad thing. Not all games need to be like LOTR and TSPP, some just need to be fun. This game is fun. It is all about the multiball. All of the modes are multiball modes, and of course this game has the best multibal start of a pinball out there. X-men has copied it, but cant match it. Lost in Space really gets the disc spinning before the balls are released, flinging them everywhere. Its awesome.

Not a fan of this game typical sega cheap feel. The spinning plannet is not a great feature, could have been so much better. Multiball is the best thing about the game. Not a game I would own.

There is really only one reason that you should ever play this game, and that is it's multiball. Especially the start of it with the spinning planet magnet that spits all the balls out of an orbit. Other than that, not worth a lot of time.
