This pinball machine originally owned by Steven Tyler, the lead singer to the world famous band Aerosmith. Still has the “ property of Aerosmith” tag on the back box.

This pin is in great shape. Has original player cards, boards, coils, plastics… what has been added / modded; all new led premium light swap. Inner halo lighting, under-cabinet water light effect, speaker grill LEDs, all new rubber and balls, real fishing Lures, bobbers, custom vintage casting reel start button, original cast reel included, miniature boat motor turns on when the extra ball light is lit. The cabinet is in great condition , the upper box look good, no fading on playfield, no cracks, splits, or dings. All lanes look epic. The machine plays like she should. No faults in test mode.
Not looking for any trades. Own a piece of rock and roll history. Other machines will be listed soon. This game without the prominence would go $6000k to $7500k all day. Now add coming from steven’s living room…. game over!!!!

Is an Aerosmith tag similar to a certificate of authenticity?

90
#3 38 days ago

I have John Voight’s 1989 LeBaron.

#4 38 days ago

Besides a sticker that says “Property of Aerosmith” what evidence is there that this was actually owned by Steven Tyler or any member of the band for that matter? I doubt that Steven goes around his house putting PoA stickers on everything.

#5 38 days ago

lol, it has a sticker! It must be true!

#6 38 days ago

This post reminds me of the guy selling The Goonies house window frame a few years ago.

#7 38 days ago

The value is probably going to be in the condition, and this one looks pretty nice--no blown out inserts like there usually is. So, I imagine it would sell for the upper end of the average value (or slightly higher) just based on the condition.

The only instances where I see a game that was formerly owned by a celebrity worth a bit more than the average value is when they were involved with the theme and/or callouts in the game, and when there is a special plaque on the game with their name on it. There is also usually an extra boost in value is if there is something special/unique about the game that is different than a regular production game.

The sticker on this game is interesting, the mods are interesting, but I don't think those are going to more than double the game's value just because a particular person owned it.

Either way, GLWS

Dream on.

#9 38 days ago

Just remembered it is April 01. I guess the joke is on us.

#10 38 days ago

What a screaming deal for someone! Pay more than twice what the game is worth, then spend time removing all those ridiculous mods.

#11 38 days ago

If I get a Led Zeppelin that has a sticker that say’s property of Led Zeppelin does that mean Robert Plant owned and it’s worth $15? Sorry, a sticker is not proof Tyler owned it and and no picture of him in his house with it. No one would authenticate this what’s so ever.

I have a loofa sponge that was once owned by Hervé Villechaize while on location filming Fantasy Island. No certificate of authenticity but it does kinda smell like pineapples. $45 - cash on sponge - not looking for trades at this time.

#13 38 days ago

“ Cash on sponge “ - lol ! Spit up my soda reading this

What is prominence?

Maybe the seller meant, "provenance" ?

Has the OP gone dark?

#19 38 days ago

That pin looks like it was originally owned by an operator who liked to use paint pens to scribble on the backbox. Then who knows who else owned it.

Less mod pics and more condition pics might help you sell it.

I remember when Bon Jovi’s viper GTS came up for sale. There was a big description about it in the sale add. It ended up selling for the average price of any other viper. Also remember when papa roaches viper GTS came up for sale. Same story and ending. Those had solid proff of who owned them from the titles and registration.

#20 38 days ago

Just needs a Troll motor mod on it.

Good luck with The Sale

Quoted from GreenMachine19:

Back right before me and the wife got married she bought red schoendienst's sebring convertible. It was right there on the title transfer. So, documented as hell. When we bought the sebring I can count the amount of f**ks that added to the valuation of the car on zero fingers. Red didn't even show up to give us a congratulatory hand job on the purchase. It was just a run of the mill purchase of a subpar chrylser product. That said, there wasn't a property of Red Schoendienst sticker anywhere on the car so not a direct comparison.

When the driver front lower ball joint failed in the parking lot at her work and I had to do a lower A Frame swap on my back in the asphalt did Red show up and give me ataboys? No. And Steven Tyler isn't going to tell you "good game" when you get a high score on an overpriced fish tales.

If anyone doubts the veracity of my claim that my wifes Sebring was the property of one Red Schoendienst I will gladly provide photographic proof of Red standing adjacent to cars that are not a Sebring to fit the OP's photo theme.

Does the fish have bigger lips?

Maybe there's a pencil with Steven Tyler's bite marks on it in the cabinet we can use to authenticate the OPs claims!

There's rust on a bunch of the hardware. I'd be willing to bet there is a lot of rusty components on the bottom side of the playfield. Hopefully this game will get properly cleaned up once this "April fools" joke has run it's course.

Yep rust all over, bolts, ramp flaps, horrible mods added with hot glue or epoxy who knows. Dented side rails, lock bar hole, the list goes on. Who ever said the condition was good in this thread needs to look again.

God only knows what Steven Tyler did on that machine to cause all that rust. We clearly need DNA samples here.

#30 37 days ago

The value of the Surf Champ in my garage just sky rocketed!!

#31 37 days ago

Steven Tyler’s real wealth came from making his friends put quarters in it based on the coin door pic lol. Tho its says originally owned by, not only owned by. If it was the property of Aerosmith it may have been for a hot minute back in the day. Whoever owned it after didn’t deem the prominence too important then. Otherwise i wudda thought Stevo could have afforded a colorDMD haha

When do the big April Fools! reveals happen in these threads anyway? I need to pay more attention to such things lol.

#32 37 days ago

I can put it next to the pin I bought from that guy from Creed no one has heard of...

#33 37 days ago

I mean if it was Joe Perry then I could justify the price.

#34 37 days ago

I guess Mr. Tyler traded it in for aerosmith premium..

#35 37 days ago

You're crazy if you think this is worth more. Maybe some people will feel some sweet emotions knowing that Steven once owned it, but at the end of the day you need to get a grip because its just another toy in the attic. I've seen this same old song and dance before when other people have tried to sell celeb owned machines and generally they end up cryin because they find out its worth no more no more. Maybe you're just livin on the edge, maybe I'm just jaded, but if you want to sell this thing, putting a normal price on it is what it takes.

#36 37 days ago

Now if this was a fish tales owned by the dude from deadliest catch we would have something… The custom callouts would be awesome.

#37 37 days ago

Op should just keep it. Eventually he will want to get back in the saddle again and play it.

If Liv Tyler was laying naked on it I’d give it a go

well done

#42 37 days ago

What surprises me most is that Steven Tyler owned a Fish Tales. It even disappoints me a bit. Can you imagine having this machine, telling your friends it was owned by Steven. They will go "Yeah right, dream on!" One of the Black Knights or an Elvira seems more appropriate...

#43 37 days ago

“Property of Aerosmith” is just as likely to be for the sound check guy. Steven might have never even touched that game

#44 37 days ago

A better investment would have been the spanking chair in Slash's auction a few years ago.

Totally. Probably just something they dragged along on tour with them for the roadies to play .

Thread winner, just shut it down.

So I can print a "Property of" sticker for some random band, dump my tackle box on the playfield, and my FT is instantly worth 2.5x more?

#49 37 days ago

Maybe when it gets delivered to you it comes wrapped in like 20 scarves.
