Reconditioned- Waiting for a home to support restoration and revive this unique machine.
Produced by Stern
Released in 2004
This solid-state electronic (SS) machine features 3 flippers, 6 pop bumpers, 2 slingshots, 6 standup targets, 2 spinning targets, 2 magnets, 2 ramp diverters, 1 vari-target (variable push target), 1 up-post and 2-, 3- and 4-ball multiball. The up-post is located in the upper right corner of the playfield. The magnet under the shrunken head catches the ball, holds it for a second, then shoots it to the rear. In another mode, the magnet stops the ball and immediately gives it back to the lower playfield. The other magnet is the Idol feature. Concept by Pat Lawlor, design by Pat Lawlor and Louis Koziarz, art by John Youssi and dots/animation by Adam Rhine. Mechanics by John Krutsch, music and sound by Chris Granner with software by Louis Koziarz and Greg Dunlap. Fun fact: games exported to the UK had three "skill posts" factory-installed on the playfield to confirm this machine is a game of skill, not a game of chance, for favorable interpretation by UK import tax laws. Each outlane has a mini-post, similar to that found on William's 1972 'Super Star', and between the bottom flippers is a large up-post. An extra button is located below each flipper button to temporarily raise these posts. Pressing the left button raises the left outlane post, pressing the right button raises the right outlane post, or pressing both buttons simultaneously raise the center up-post. Reportedly, most operators disabled this post save feature for location play after getting the game through customs, otherwise it would increase playing time.
Call Pinball Alley, Rochester, NY for details on the pricing of each restoration and machine. We do not sell machines as is. We do not sell machines as projects or to be restored by another party. These machines are to be restored in house once a home has become available. The price of the restoration will depend on labor and parts.
