This is a rare “original” Twilight Zone pinball machine. It is a 100% Bally factory original unit! NO upgrades or modifications of ANY kind have ever been made!
This unit was originally in a West Seattle arcade, then was rotated out to a Seattle pinball distributor (Music-Vend Distributing) in 1994, where I purchased it. So, this is a SINGLE OWNER machine after only one single “tour of duty” in one arcade. This unit has all original factory parts, NO MODS OF ANY KIND, except of course for the occasional replacement of a failed light or solenoid, or worn bumper or flipper rubber. The clock assembly is the original Bally’s factory assembly, unmodified in any way (not even drilled holes for heat escape.) Even the clock optos are the Bally factory originals. The clock will reset to 12 on power-up but quickly overheats when activated during gameplay and will work intermittently or stop working altogether, as expected from the original factory part. (Those familiar with the game know that scoring and gameplay are unaffected.) The powerfield works great, and so do the various releases, bumpers, flippers, displays, etc.. The unit's original backup battery needs replacement (saves high scores, settings, etc. when unit is unplugged.)
The only original part not included is the coin acceptance assembly, which I sold back to the distributor when I purchased the machine for use in my home. The game has been played off and on over the past 30 years, more at some times and less at others, but not ever heavily, and several times it has been unplugged for a year or more at a time. The game plays flawlessly other than the clock assembly as described earlier. The game has been kept in a guest bedroom the entire time I’ve owned it, so no high moisture, no extreme temperatures, no dust build-up ever.
In summary, this is a carefully treated, factory original, comparatively low-cycle, single owner unit, in great playing condition. Pinball Machine Unit Serial Number: 52 72 01 94 431, registered by me at ipsnd.net on 6/26/2008. I'm finally selling it after all this time because I'm prepping for a retirement move and it's time that this wonderful game went to a new owner.
Also included: the complete original Operations Manual (including the glossy red front and back cover) fully intact in good used condition, the Schematics Manual, the factory original four metal balls and porcelain Powerball. Finally, there are a few spare parts: one Twilight Zone coil sleeve kit (unopened), one Twilight Zone fuse kit (unopened), two boxes #555 lamps, one box #44 lamps, a variety of replacement bumpers and flipper rubbers, one new AE26-1200 solenoid, one new AE26-900 solenoid.
Price: $12,000 firm, cash, cashier's check, wire (sorry, no Paypal, Venmo, Zelle, etc.). Pickup only, located in Renton, Washington. If shipping is required, buyer will need to arrange for someone to pick up the unit at my home, then separately prep and ship the unit to its ultimate destination.
