Noteworthy features

  • Upper playfield consists of a miniflipper and a bank of 5 individually-controlled drop targets (like Laser Cue); unlike most drop target banks, there's nothing behind these droptargets, so balls that are shot where dropped droptargets are exit the upper playfield. The droptargets pop back up on their own before the bank is completed (and all come back up immediately like normal when the bank is completed), but every time the bank is cleared, the droptargets take longer and longer to pop back up. Completing the bank advances the bonus multiplier and eventually collects special, plus a roving target awards jackpot in multiball. Innovative design not seen in any other machine!

Trivia

  • This was the last 7-digit-scoring machine made by Williams. The high score music is a Bach fugue, and the sides of the machine have Tolkien runes. Bonus maxes out at 100,000 (with a 7x multiplier maximum), but can be incremented by as little as 200 at a time via the u-turn spinners.

Backbox ornament(s)

Series of eight lights on the left side show approximate jackpot value, from 500K to 4M.

Video mode

This machine has no dot matrix or video display, so it has no videmode.
