Ramps & rails are fine. Lighting is pretty good. To me it seems like the flow is not so good. Not a must-have for me. Thumbs down on the rotating flipper. I have had the ball get pinned on two separate occasions (different machines) against the bumper and rotating flipper while I was playing a game. There is some uniqueness on playfield layout which is a plus.

Was a little surprised not to see this in the Top 100, but after reading the reviews I understand why. I was not a fan of this game the first few times I played it. My local arcade has it and I didn't play it for a few months for the same reasons listed in other reviews, thought the playfield was cluttered, the spinning arm etc.

Went back to it after a few months and figured the table out and the gameplay is deep and very entertaining. To those that state they only played it a few times, give it another shot.

Monopoly looks gorgeous but I just don't enjoy the game. The little spinning flipper is a novel idea but in reality does little other than annoy you and the playfield just seems a little cluttered.

This is a remake of WW.

For some reason this playfield just seems small. Perhaps it is the way everything is crammed in, but it seems to be more narrow than most pins.

I do like the layout of the ramps, but not the way that some of the upper playfield is blocked by them and you can't see the ball. Someone else mentioned the layout being similar to Whirlwind, and I would agree with that.

A pretty fun pin overall, but I would have expected more from a Lawlor design. The rules are pretty good. Probably a decent pin for the prices they sell for though.

Fun Pin but not as fun as I thought it would be from the videos I had watched. Actually travelled 3 hours to a guy who had over 50 Pins and was coming home with something. I was sure from his list and my research that it was going to be Monopoly. Once I got there and played other games on the list Monopoly just wasn't as fun to me. It didn't have the flow and constant excitement that some other games have. Ended up purchasing Roller coaster Tycoon instead.

A strange, but a popular and jolly machine from Stern, it feels narrower than a normal pin due to the lock lane on the left hand side and also the crowded and unusual playfield. The rotating flipper is unique, but doesn't do much to the gameplay.
A broad rule set rather than a deep one, but easy for anyone to pick up what's going on. Stern have done well to incorporate the rules of the board game in a game of pinball.
One thing to note, players from Europe will find the American place names strange if they are used to their own versions of the board game.
This game suffers from a lot of airballs, especially off the left hand ramp up to the Free Parking target. Mods are available to prevent this happening.
Genial Mr Monopoly explains what is going on during the game very well, but I do find his affable character and jolly voice irritating sometimes.
Watch out for wear around the Chance scoop, and the Bank Vault door operation needs checking as well if looking at a machine to purchase.

Monopoly is an under-rated machine. Universal appeal and simple, good-old-fashioned fun abound in this one, and I have yet to see someone who truly dislikes this machine. Yes, I know it is not the most polished thing to come out of the factory, and yes I know it is not as deep as STTNG...but it is a good machine that certainly did it's job of making lots of money, and making me smile while it did so.

This game is easy but a whole lot of fun. All 4 ramps bring the ball back to the flippers but the flow is just ok. Not a very fast game. Layout reminded me of Whirlwind. Artwork on the playfield is great and the backglass is good. I think it played it's theme well. I actually felt like I was playing the board game. The gimmicks are the lighted Monopoly board in the playfield (which light up to show you your token's location and which properties you own), the Bank vault door, and the spinning water works flipper. After playing a perfectly operating machine, I found myself playing it over and over and having a whole lot of fun with it. I actually wouldn't mind owning one of these.

Monopoly lacks in excitement, but is otherwise adored by operators for its collections & universal appeal (hit w/ casuals & novices). Art package & modes are well integrated with the theme. Advancing modes advances player positions on a game board (displayed on PF). Board game fans will get a kick out of it. Rules are relatively easy to understand. Lots of stop & go gameplay. Shots are a mixed bag. They are either nice & long or extremely tight & unforgiving with train ramp down by the flipper area. Sfx are ok. Music is decent; sounds like a casino level from Sega Genesis-era Sonic the Hedgehog video game. Aside the bank vault lock device, the main gimmick is an uninspired 360 degree spinning flipper. Rubber on spinning flipper dirty/worn or worse (flipper motor acting up)? Gameplay takes a relative nose dive with unpredictability coming from flipper interaction. Good aquisition to put on route, if you got kids, or looking for a understandable game for your significant other to play.

My first pin.Not bad but it got boring quick.Thought it was a fast game with the easy ramp shots and six pop bumpers.Great light show but should have been better playfield toys.

Very nice eye candy, good theme, poor gameplay, poor layout. Not a winner for me.

I love Monopoly...I mean who doesn't, but this game totally lets down the theme. Think about all they could do with this...a metal shoe, going to jail, plastic hotels, etc. They just fell short on this game. In fact the bar I went to go play this at just had it turned off cause it looked so dinky next to the Addams Family it sat next to. After I turned it on myself, the play was all convoluted and didn't flow right at all.

Bottom line....terrible, cheap feeling game from Stern.

This is one of the worst pins I have ever played. The artwork is great, but the rest of the game is a tragic mistake. I can't imagine why this game was produced other than the name recognition.
