Classic game has it all to keep excitement level high. Great call outs, fantastic themes and plenty of ways to score.

Sequel to Attack From Mars - it's got the cool castle but somehow is less fun to me and the points scale feels artificially low. Compared to AFM the playfield is just a little more crowded and the princess ramp too steep causing the ball to often fail to get up it. Definitely not saying it's a bad game, it's excellent and deserves its high ranking, but I prefer AFM and I feel that game is more addictive.

As I was going through each category, trying my best to be as objective as possible. But I kept finding myself selecting 6 points for each. The only category that I could bring myself to deduct a point on was cabinet art, and even there, i think it just did it to try to appear critical. When you rate a game like this, it's challenging with all the great modern games that have come after it, but it still holds up, despite all these advances and great ideas. The game is almost perfect in every way. It shoots amazingly well, the rules are fun and challenging, the sound is awesome, the theme is perfect original, and no matter how many times you play it, it's still always a blast. I've owned a remake LE and original, and for my the original just feel better. This is the first game I ever bought, and I will probably never sell it. It's also probably the best introductory game in pinball. It's the only game my wife will play!

I remember when first finding this machine, I fell in long on first play. I could tell from that first game how special it was. While it is not the deepest game, it is super fun and accessible to anyone who plays it. All that play it in my home has fun and it's an easy game to come back to over and over again, though if you are a good player, it is one that runs long and get to the end fairly regularly

Pinball really doesn’t get any better than this. My wife and I spent $9k on an original MM in nice shape and would buy one again anytime. The whole family’s favorite game. People remember it and talk about it after they leave our house. It’s the whole package!

Great unlicensed original theme which is evocative of Monty Python silliness, excellent shots and rules, hilarious callouts and sound. Everytime I hear the valley girl princess say "that dragon is like, soooo gnarly" I chuckle. The music has a great medieval battle/renaissance vibe and for me, doesn't get old or stale. Just a great example of pinball designers innovating and sinking their teeth into all aspects to bring a cohesively awesome game. In my opinion Brian Eddy is the GOAT of pinball design. This game, the Shadow and Attack from Mars just stand up very well from a design perspective. Williams really had lightning in a bottle in the 90s and no amount of new tech or baroque rulesets from new Stern machines can hold a candle to what WMS was doing back in 90s leading up to shift to Pinball 2000.

The cabinet art is a little bit meh. The translite is great with a bunch of easter eggs and references to other games and inside jokes. It's also surprisingly easy to tear down and service/clean up. With LEDs and titan rubbers, this thing looks and plays like a dream. The CGC remakes are cool and I'm glad they are producing this game so more people can enjoy, but for me nothing beats the original '97 version.

it was my first machine that joined my collection, it is the king, the years do not sit, it has a very entertaining gameplay and fluidity, what can be said about the machine that has not already been said, it is excellent, entertaining, precious, one of the best designs ever made in the 90s, but it repeats a lot the formula of other machines, of course it improves, but it didn't contribute anything new in those years that hadn't been done. will it still be in my top? of course.

A classic pinball machine that is as much fun today as back in 1997 when I played it than. A game that will stay in my collection forever.

One of my grail games to own. When you can find one in all working condition, it's just such a treat to play. The theme is so well done here and the whole castle siege design makes for a heck of a simple yet fun game to play. So many toys and gimmicks with the "destruction" really set this one apart and almost all shots you make feel rewarding even with not succeeding at main game modes.

One of my favorite games of all time. This is a step up in many ways from its predecessor Attack From Mars, which I also love. Breaking down the castle door; shooting through the wall for multiball; the castle destruction sequence; the troll popups; it's fantastic.

Have owned this since it first came out. Had it at my arcade and it was a blast to play. Customers kept coming back for it. Bought 2 more for the route and they were great earners. Pulled this one off route and took home for our keeper game. So much fun. Great flow and call outs.

Who doesn't love it? The theme is great for a broad audience, it's clear for beginners what to do but also has a lot of broader things for more experienced players. Music is great, call outs are amazing and funny. An all-round great game. In my opinion the pinnacle of 90's pins.

Very fun game. One of the best games of the 90’s. The castle is one of the best bash toys in pinball history. Not a huge fan of the ramp shots as they tend to drain if you don’t make it up the ramps. Same goes for the castle. If you hit it dead on it will also drain. Rule set is not that deep but what’s there is excellent. I love how simple and straight forward this game is to play.

Man, I get it.... it's as close to a Monty Python pin as there will ever be.... but it's not as good as THAT pin would be. STILL... fun as all hell, love playing it. But it's that old "Princess Bride" vs "Holy Grail" thing.... this feels more "Princess Bride" than "Holy Grail" to me, and that's the only reason it's not the best version of this pin I can imagine.

As close to the perfect pinball as has ever been made. Never grows old. Dumbest thing I ever did was sell my original Williams version back in the early 00s.

What can I say. Legendary game. Nitpicking: the shots to the castle drawbridge and portcullis can get a little repetitive and it scores so high that game play tends to always follow the castle bashing route. There could be more combo reward for continually hitting alternate targets. The game is frustratingly repetitive - I find I spend too long catching ball and lining up shots -so the game doesn’t flow. That said - it does have ebb and flow - trolls can be stressful - bashing castle ho - hum. The nice thing about the game is it doesn’t rob you with drains, however it is still extremely difficult to complete everything.

This game deserves the hype. Truly flawless, so I'll focus on the few complaints I have. Wish there was a plunger to give a little more variety to the ball launch, but as I understand it, they opted for the button to save cost (.08 cents, that allowed them to add the dragon to the ramp...nice tradeoff). Merlins hole can be tricky to get the ball to stick, but I do like the fact that it cant be accessed from the backside off a lucky pop bumper bounce. Despite battling for king of the realm multiple times, I've never hit video mode, so I wish it was more accessible. And that's about it. Imagine the perfect game, where you're hard pressed to find a flaw/improvement and there you have it. Medieval madness. 10/10. I'm bolting this one to the floor.
