I love when older games come with the original documentation like that. Everything looks brand new too. Congrats!

"Whoa, this is a psychopath!"
Depending on the price, the psychopath could be the seller OR ... the buyer!

Said to the wife: “look, we rarely use the thing… but we’d play pinball all the time.”
<wife reluctantly shrugs, acknowledging this is a battle not worth fighting>
“Thanks, babe. You’re the greatest!”
Quoted from jrcmlc:Or a doorway
Last year when I told a friend we got four machines in this room he said “wow. How you get four machines and the foosball table in there?”
A few months later when I asked my wife if we could get a fifth machine, she asked “where would it go? I thought we only had room for four?”
I measured the room out and it came down to two inches with five machines lined up, blocking the second doorway/entrance.
In this hobby, we find a way, LoL
I finally have filled my room at 18 and couldn’t fit another pin in. I guess I’ll have to sell one when my Pulp Fiction arrives. I’m not mad that CGC takes so long to make pins, 6-12 months would be fine with me.

My Wife actually brought up about removing the table to fit more machines. I still have room for one more in the basement, so we are not at that stage yet.

True words! Where there’s a will, there’s a way. I managed to stuff 11 pins into one bedroom. There are 5 games setup to play in the living room, 3 in the wife’s room, and Godfather is in the kitchen LOL. The two in the garage (AFM and RFM) are for sale. Looking at expanding the house soon as this is getting ridiculous. These things multiply like fleas

You bastard!! I’ll have to swing by and throw some games up on that next time I’m in your area. Played it at shows, but really need to put some quality time on one in a home environment.

For sure!
Just moved to the Tri-Cities Wa, today was day five.
Saw an ad for an estate sale off Craigslist that had two pinball machines. First one was an X-Files and the second one was a Twilight Zone. Both machines were very dirty as when I arrived at the sale had to wipe off the glass to even see the playfields.
Mind you the Tri-Cities (Kennewick, Pasco and Richland Wa) are large cities and about 3 hour drive from the Seattle area. I figured there would be a number of pinball collectors there at 8am when the estate sale started.
I was the first one there and started unburying the machines. Not long after that a few pin heads showed up. A few went away quickly, surprisingly. A guy and his father stayed and we started talking. Once we introduced ourselves to each other I came to find out he knew me from a friend of his that had come to my home when I lived in Idaho. A small world our pinball hobby is.
After some visiting we discussed the pinball machines and decided he wanted the X-Files and I would take the TZ and would split the costs.
Got the owner over and started negotiating. After a few prices back and forth, the owner just wanted them gone, so we got them both for a very low price of $1500!
Wow! What a deal a $750 TZ for me and the same for him on the X-Files. Unbelievable to say. This kind of acquisition doesn’t happen very much anymore and was very surprised the home owner he agreed to it.
We helped each other out on moving them to ours trucks and took our prized possessions home.

You need a nice Firepower to go with that Blackout! Thats if you dont already have one
While not a pinball machine, brought this home recently. It was passed down from our family, a 1940's Jennings Club Chief Tic Tac Toe slot machine. This was recovered from a Moose lodge in the Chicago suburbs many years ago when gambling became illegal. As the story was told by family members, some machines were rescued from the lodge when they were tipped off that agents would be coming to destroy any gambling machines on the premises. This was one of the machines that survived and took quite a few years to get into our family's hands. The primary jackpot was disabled, as the center area holds the jackpot coins, and people would break the glass and steal the coins inside, and the winner would have to go to the bartender to get the payout. This was replaced with the Jackpot Guaranteed sign. Our goal is to fix that portion which was disabled and replace the glass and get the jackpot to payout again. For the age, the machine is in very good shape and will be a good restoration project.

As if I needed another project game!
IMG_20240422_205151828.jpg
Needs some work, has a few issues I've already theorized the causes of, but is essentially functional. I hadn't been planning on buying another project, but when you're running a convention table with pinball and a local guy offers you a Space Shuttle for $400, that's not an offer you decline. Even better when show earnings pay for half of it already.
