There aren't that many of the flipperless games that have their own page/entry on pinside, which means we can't add them to our inventory.
Is this something people care about at all? Should we try and expand the games database to include the rest of our pin collections?

#3 5 years ago

You probably have to ask a moderator to add them on an individual basis. That's kind of how it worked with some early flipper games and P&B games.

I think it would be great to see more listed. I'd love to add my 1933 Chicago Coin Baby Leland into my Pinside collection.

#4 5 years ago

Yeah. I've asked to have some games added so that I can accurately track my collection. It takes a while sometimes, but ask to have them added, and it will get done.

#5 5 years ago

I can't find any form on the Machines page to request new additions, so who did you get in touch with to have them added?

#6 5 years ago

Is there a way to see if Robin can add these from a database?

One at a time would seem discouraging.....it might also result in more images, info, and help on these
games.....

#7 5 years ago

Isn't Jeff Frick (way2wyrd) a moderator? He's probably our best bet for this kind of stuff. He has the ability to add and has an interest in the older stuff.

He's helped me add in the past.

Just send a message to Robin with the game or games you would like added.
Since the collector base for these very old games is very limited, I don't think he's going to add a large number of these games at one time. Also, you need to provide a photo if you want one if there isn't an existing photo. I don't think he's allowed to use photos from the IPDB either, so don't copy one from there.

There are some 1950's games that are also not on the Pinside list. 'Watch My Line' is not on the list, for the 1 Pinsider that has 1 they have not mentioned it yet.

#14 5 years ago

thanks, Jeff!

I need added:
1934 Bally Signal Jr
1934 Bally Signal Sr
1950 Culp Bridge Ball

I can post up pictures when I get home.

#15 5 years ago

My understanding is they have to be listed on IPDB first in order to "qualify" to be listed on Pinside. I've got a few that are not in the DB but I've just not had time to mess with pictures and such but hopefully soon.

please post which ones you have that aren't on pinside yet, I am super curious.
The three I posted are all on IPDB, though I will be expanding their info at IPDB as well.

#23 5 years ago

So I added a pic of Baby Leland to the gallery. Is it safe to assume we can't add the splash image?

Hi guys! It’s Pafasa. Remember me? I’ve been derailed for a long time but I’m now slowly able to get back into the Pinball world. I look forward to reconnecting. Especially with the EM crowd. I’m kinda lurking in the background right now. Reading and re-learning. This thread is really neat. Cool to see so many new pinside names. (New to me at least)

Thanks a lot Jeff!

A little question on the side: how can I change the thumbnail picture for a game? I've posted an image of Big League's backglass but can't seem to find how to make a thumbnail out of it.

If someone takes the lead to add the following listing, I can furnish good photos of these restored prewar games:

PAMCO Major League
Daval Chicago Express
Chicago Coin Rapid Transit
Chicago Coin Wing Lite
Genco Gridiron
Genco Official Baseball
Rockola trifecta
Bally Signal, Jr.
Bally The Pennant
Gottlieb Speedway

ahhhh those are such sweet games, ZNET!@
Signal Jr is here: https://pinside.com/pinball/machine/signal-jr

And for those that don't know, the "Rockola Trifecta" is only missing one entry
World's Series https://pinside.com/pinball/machine/world-series-rockola
World's Fair Jigsaw https://pinside.com/pinball/machine/worlds-fair-jigsaw
and the puzzlingly rare Army Navy, which is the one that needs to be added https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=90

I have a nice scan of a Billboard advertisement for Genco's Four Roses from 1940 here.

Jeff, should you have the time: could you add the game? I'll then add the ad.

#41 5 years ago

I have some pictures for these if they can get added:
PAMCO Big Leaguer https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=263
Western Flying High https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=904
Genco Baseball https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2907

!!!
Bally 1937 "Sprint" pinball

Genco 1935 "Criss Cross 'A' Lite"

Bally 1932 "Goofy" pinball

#47 5 years ago

It's great seeing several prewar games on video. However, the event host ought to know that Genco is pronounced with a hard "G" inasmuch as the name derives from company owner, Sam Gensberg. The interviewer got it right and was too polite to make the correction on camera.

In any event, prewar game popularity has dramatically escalated in the last 5 years, with the last 30 years manifesting static or modest growth. It's fantastic that so many prewars are finding their way into exhibitions.
