The place is pretty busy with tourists. Plenty of coin drop even though most machines are off. When I was last there it was packed.

The place is not really for pinheads. The tourists who come in don’t complain. Yea, they carry some management issues, but they spend. The place is very busy post Covid. They are not there to finally play Pinball Circus(which btw looks like some skilled tech drove a screw to deep from the underside of the playfield. You’ll notice a speed bump if you play it). It’s a tourist attraction. Can it be better, of course. I would say it will out earn any other pinball arcade’s anywhere as is.
This is getting old. Bitching about the place. Everyone knows what it is. And if you don’t, here it is: tourist attraction. The place is pretty busy with the tourists who come in for an hour or two and drop a few bucks. This is not a pinball Mecca for enthusiasts. The tourists don’t care about the condition of the game or how many
are not playable.
The place takes in a lot of cash. EOS.
Quoted from canea:The reasoning that PHOF is only for tourists who don't care if the games aren't working doesn't hold up. Go read the reviews (tripadvisor, google, yelp, etc.) and you'll find plenty of reviews from non-pinheads that mention the over-abundance of nonworking games.
The tourists outnumber them 100 to 1. They just don’t leave reviews. You would be shocked at the number of people that come through there in a week.
The VFW is probably 90% pinhead visitors. But I’m guessing that PHOF has at least 20x as many visitors overall.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:It's super weird.
I visited two pinball arcades in Poland. Both had issues similar to what people whine about.
I didn't give a shit. I was in Poland. I got to see a bunch of pinball machines and play Outrun during a couple breaks I had on a very long two week trip. I got to play a decent Jungle Lord for 20 minutes. I put up a high score on a tired Godzilla. It was a perfectly acceptable way to spend a couple hours.
I didn't come here and post threads with a laundry list of demanded changes. Cause why bother? I can't do better. These Poles have figured out how to make a couple cool pinball arcades in fuckin' Poland.
Why would I want to discourage people from going? How does that "help the hobby?"
If you want to play mint condition games, you can do it in your basement.
Krakow pinball museum was pretty good.
This thread is so worn. Everyone knows. Dont visit if you expect anything more than what you have read here. Tim is never gonna change.
Quoted from donkadelic:I can't stand Las Vegas and never been to PHOF, was near the airport when I went so just never made it over there in between vegas-time activities. I don't like alcohol, hookers, street drugs or 5:4 payout blackjack so not really my scene. I know I know, fun at parties bla bla. Nail in the coffin for me is the constant ID checks walking through every single casino, when I've never gotten ID'd in any other state literally ever (I'm no spring chicken).
Gotta be a major pain to operate a business there, personally have no hate for the place and never been there, the more pinball meccas the better I say.
Bet your fun at parties too.
Quoted from donkadelic:They don't ID when you enter the casino, it's non-stop when you're inside one however. Fremont with all the junkies is definitely looser though.
I haven't been carded once in any casino in any state the last 20 years or so other than Vegas, where last time was probably 50 times at least.
Love when alcoholic gambling degenerates get mad about the smell of second hand weed smoke. Same people who smoke 2 packs a day usually. I saw about 5 different people puke in the street when I was there last, now that's horrific. Street scammers that will literally physically grab you if you ignore their little scam cup and ball game. Non-stop drug solicitation, and by drugs I mean fentanyl laced caffeine powder. Hookers that make most of their money from robbing people. Fake people who only pretend to be nice to get a tip from you because casinos refuse to pay a fair wage. Automatic shufflers that are obviously rigged on a 6:5 blackjack payout (never seen that scam anywhere else either). Just the worst humanity has to offer, gateway to hell starts in Las Vegas.
Vegas is just fine without you. As a matter of fact we don’t want anyone close to anything like you there. Viva Las Vegas
