Ok, so Walgreens has racks and racks of birthday cards. Lots of room for cards for other occasions.

But, in all that space devoted to greeting cards, there may be three get well cards. At a pharmacy! Seems to me that is where you'd find them. Plenty of beer and wine and even groceries at the drug store… but try to find a card for someone who is sick!

    Go figure…

Perhaps they would rather keep selling medicine than actually have somebody "get well".

I remember this one time, I was in the hospital ICU with 3 different illnesses....all severe and life threatening. Then, the nurse came by and mentioned someone had mailed me something. It was a soft blue envelope, and I had to ask her to help me open it because I had no strength. She did so, and inside was a beautiful card that said, 'Get Well'. Needless to say, I sprang from the bed and ran out of the hospital as pert as a ruttin' buck. Who was I to ignore a direct command?

All it took for me was them bringing me one more hospital meal and I was suddenly ready to leave.

sales of them probably tanked as soon as they stopped selling cigarettes.

Oh, they still sell them here. Right at the checkout where you pay for beer. Perhaps it is Rite Aid or Costco you are thinking of.

Probably have to go to a regular card shop.
I work for a company that produces these cards for our customers and there is never get well cards. Generally it's birthday or Xmas cards. Here's a video we shot about 15 years ago on how there made. Those are my hands at 4:30
