This link popped up on fb recently. It describes how several US manufacturers made games in Ireland in the late 1950s and early 1960s:

Searching here I found only this old thread inquiring about a backglass:

Any time I see Mondial and Fesjian all I can think of is the infamous "we are not ogres" cease and desist letter.

One of the articles about Mondial in Ireland is from Cash Box magazine, 11 July 1959, page 51.

I wonder how many of these made in Ireland pins production
are included in the production numbers shown on ipdb?

Were these Irish games only for the overseas (european) market?

One of the articles mentions that the games assembled there were intended for the British Commonwealth so Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc.

No idea about the production numbers.

I've sold it now, but I used to own a Williams 'Crossword' that had a "Assembled in Ireland" stencilled script inside the cabinet. Whether that was in northern or southern Ireland though, I dont know.
It had the correct 3d ( a three old, pre-decimal, penny coin where 1d equalled a penny) coin chute on it so was certainly for N.Ireland and U.K mainland use.
