    Quoted from ATLpb:

Is it as easy as white from harness to white to game and then brown to black?

    BOOM.

White and black is your 110 Volt AC.

Brown and orange go to a coin switch.

Search Google for pin out numbers. MEI or Mars bill validator PDF.

Probably doesn't want to hook 110 VAC to a 12V DBA.

That would be bad. In his picture I took note of the white and black wires.

Search for a PDF manual on line for a 12 volt bill validator and what your wires in your game are for.

That harness in your hand with white and black wires is 110 volts AC. In your picture you have a 12 volt DC bill validator.

Figure this out so you don't blow shit up.

I looked up pinouts for you.

For a connector on a 110 volt AC bill validator :
Pin 4 is Hot Pin 6 in neutral - for coin switches or pulse Pin 7 is normally open pin 8 is common.

Pin 16 goes to black 12V ground on my down converter
Pin 19 goes to red 12V positive on my down converter

Pin 1 (white from pics) goes to ? Starting to doubt self (seems like black w white from near coin door to white pin1 from dbv harness )

Pin 2 (brown from pics) goes to ? Starting to doubt self (seems like orange from near coin door to brown pin2 from dbv)

    ?

I promise I’ll never go thru this again. This is a passion project favor. ^_^.

DO NOT use the black and white wire that is at the top right of your picture - that is 120v. You could use it to power your power supply. Please tape up the black wire (shock hazard)

Another great thread by Ken Layton, I'm so thankful some of his knowledge is stored on these forums.

I wanted to share how much of the lower opening has to be trimmed for a Mars/MEI upstacker to fit. This is with the plate held back in place. Its not a lot but it can be a pain to trim and make it look decent. I touched up the paint on the edge with some testors black enamel.

This amount is needed to be trimmed even with the "Fitted Bezel" The fitted bezel just has shorter tabs on the bottom. The standard bezel can be trimmed there easily enough.
