Hot Tip
Williams, 1977I've got a hot tip setup at Louisville arcade expo this weekend and it started going into tilt on every ball after few seconds after plunging.
Hard to diagnose during show even though I tried.
I got home and read on pinside about it and maybe it could be a short on coin door or maybe a bad diode in the switch matrix with the slam tilt switch
Getting ready to head back to show with some diodes.
Any other suggestions welcome

If it were slam tilting, it would reboot the game - is it tilting or rebooting?
I'd probably just disconnect the wires to the slam switch on the coin door in this situation (at the connector, if possible) to avoid having to do extensive troubleshooting at a show. That's a PITA especially if you're soldering.
Yeah you are right. I actually just replaced the diode on the slam tilt switch and I'm not getting anymore slam tilts.
I was trying to make it slam tilt manually with the blades but all it did was make everything flash off and on momentarily.
So I figured maybe it's the diode right there.
Got lucky.
Keeping an eye on it today.

@slochar. You were right. The game started tilting again.
Wasn't the slam tilt I felt and heard.
It's the buzzer on inside of cabinet that is a tilt warning.
I figure I'll replace the diode on it and see if that fixes the problem.
