I saw a topic about most hated commercials in TV currently...it made me start to think: "What are my favorite commercials of all time?". First ones that come to mind are some old McDonalds McDLT commercials featuring Chicago Bear's Footballer "The Fridge" and also Jason Alexander (from Seinfeld). Also, there was a Folgers commercial that always played around christmas time with some older brother type coming home early and waking everyone up with folgers in your cup.

What are some of your all time favorite commercials?

And who could forget this little gem:

I liked Clara Peller

K-mart's "ship my pants" commercial

All old Volkswagen bettle commercials. I especially like the one that said a volkswagen will defintely float - but a volkswagen will not float indefinely.

Dos Equis "The Most Interesting Man in the World" ads. They were classic!

A DuPont carpet "Stainmaster" add, gets my vote. Unfortunately, only old guys like myself will even remember this add.

It featured a really cute baby in walker (baby sits inside and uses their legs to cruise around the room) moving at Millennium Falcon speeds, around the house, knocking down all kinds of things and causing drinks, food and dirt (from plants) to fall onto the carpet. All of this is done to Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee."

When the baby comes to a screeching halt in front of it's mother, she bends down (the camera angles are from the POV of the baby) and gives the baby a disapproving look and then ... the baby turns around and takes off again at breakneck speeds to wreak further havoc.

I will always love that commercial. Remains my favorite commercial, all of these years later!

Will I get ejected if I say Bud Light Presents - Real Men of Genius?

Anyone who has ever worked at K-Mart appreciates the irony of that genius commercial.

“Mr. Yuk is mean… Mr. Yuk is green.”

The Trunk Monkey commercials were pretty funny.

#24 1 year ago

One of my favorite Super Bowl commercials ever . . . E-Trade's "Money Coming Out the Wazoo".

#25 1 year ago

My other favorite Super Bowl commercial . . . Terry Tate, Office Linebacker.

"When it’s game time, it’s pain time, baby. Whoooahh!"

I also appreciate the call out to Office Space requiring cover sheets on the TPS reports.

Though a sitcom, this clip reminds me so much of that old gem. And to start the 2nd episode ever with this clip was perfect.
