Quoted from sfspanky:

Have you reseated the connections on the LED OCD board and power driver board?

I have tried this but now I’m thinking one of the wires may have come loose when reseating the connections. I am going to investigate further when I get home tomorrow and will report back.

Ok have the inserts working again. Reseated everything for the 5th time and adjusted a few of the wires into the connections. Now back to the original problem. I have a few insert lights that stay lit all the time (they will go off when in a mode or when in attract mode). It’s the Frodo, mystery, and spot ring inserts. They are all in the same row on the matrix. When testing individually that whole row of lights each one will light 2 inserts. Any ideas as this is getting out of my skill range? I’m thinking possibly the transistor? Any help appreciated!!!

Did you mount this over the tail end of the ground braid normally found in the bottom right corner? If so, is the tail end of the grounding braid frayed and lifting up a bit? You might have shorted something if you answered yes to the previous questions. I cut the grounding braid back so it is not underneath the OCD board.

Hey everyone, I just installed the LED OCD in my TSPP and I noticed during attract mode that when the GI turns off, the light show becomes choppy and definitely doesn't look right. It also has the same choppy effect anytime the GI shuts off during gameplay, even when the game is over.

Otherwise the lights look exactly as they should, the fade effect looks great and there's no ghosting.

The lights on the board are solid red and D9 pulses as it should except for when the GI goes out, then D9 pulses sporadically, 4 pulses, 6 pulses, 2 pulses, which seems suspicious, but maybe that's what it's supposed to do?

All comet 2smd frosted sunlight. There are no non-ghosting bulbs.

I hooked the board up to my computer and nothing seemed to malfunction.

I've checked the board for cracked solder joints, I checked the harnesses to see if there were any janky, weird or crossed wires. I've jiggled, I've reseated.

I've scoured the Internet and haven't found one similar instance. I've also reached out to Comet and haven't heard back yet.

Without the board, all of the light shows behave as they should, it just flickers and ghosts.

This video shows how good everything looks until the GI turns off.

This video shows game over light show.
