    Quoted from Mr68:

"YOU'RE A BIPOLAR PIECE OF SHIT"

This is why you and I get along.

    Quoted from Mr68:

That would drive me insane. You've been here for 8 years and you only have one, single down vote.
Curiosity would have me dredging through all of my comments to find who that one person is, AND, what the hell did I say?

I give away up-votes too easily sometimes. I'll occasionally give out a sympathy up-vote when I see someone stumble or bomb with a joke. And for my own amusement, I like to up-vote someone after they've deleted their comment and left a blank.
I'm way more stingy with the down-votes. And my meaning behind those can range from, "I respectfully disagree with you", to, "YOU'RE A BIPOLAR PIECE OF SHIT"

My favorite things to upvote is clever personal attacks toward me. If you called me an asshole but you made a good point about it, hell that deserves an upvote from me!

    David,

You wouldn't recognize a clever personal attack if it bit you in the ass.

Never trust anyone thats been on here for more than 10 years. They clearly have no Life and are obvious losers.

Well, I just recently bought a Kayak, so now I have a life

    Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:

I keep my own naughty and nice list. I'm assuming most of us have a "do not do business with this slimey individual" list?

I didn't, but this is a splendid idea...

If I can dish it out, I better enjoy getting some back right?

    Not necessarily business.

Mine is people that don't need my help.

At this point I actually feel sorry for Dan, having his name continually bumped to the top since the thread took on a life its own. Stockholm syndrome!

This is my first time on Pinside. What have I missed?

He was just being facetious. It’s sits around 1 to 2 percent valuable info. It hasn’t been 10 percent for 5 or 6 years now.

    Quoted from jcg9998:

Whenever somebody asks me to send money via Friends and Family (that I don't know), I just add the Paypal fee on to my purchase. I believe it's 3 1/2%. If it's a big purchase, I occasionally ask them to pay half. They never seem to have a problem with me paying the fee. If they do, then it's a sign to beware.

With paypals now reporting any account that accumulates over $600 in a year. Many people won't take goods and service. F & F is the only way I take payment. Anything else is refunded.

So after 5 months of radio silence I get a personal message from this low life today. All the message said was "Hmm." Not sure what to read into that.

A Pinside message? I hope he isn't still allowed to keep an account here.

WTF, why is a known scammer still here?

Getting rid of a scammer, troll, multiple account guy…

It’s like tipping over a vending machine. Takes a few back and forths.

I don't get it. Robin should be able to boot whoever off for whatever reason. It's a private website. I don't get why guys like this get a pass.

I heard from someone that you are a part owner. Just use your veto power to boot the guy.

Because nobody has sent anything about this to the moderation team?

There's nothing in this member's profile that indicates to me that the account is being operated by a foreign scammer. Those guys are fairly easy to spot.

And it seems someone who posted in the thread earlier has met this person in real life?

People who operate accounts like real people and who are in-country, but who are also scammers are harder to uncover and need a bit more to go on other than some vague shouts of "scammer!" from the peanut gallery.

The way I see it at the moment is that someone reported that one deal apparently didn't go as expected for some reason. It sometimes happens, unfortunately.

So, the moderation team would need something more before considering any action.

If anyone is able to send screenshots (either in a moderator feedback thread, or to me directly) concerning potential scamming activates (with this situation or any other), we would be happy to take a look.
