If the title of my story is any indication, then you'll know where it all started for me. Star Wars blew my mind as a kid back in 1977 but another obsession soon followed: video games (especially that Star Wars vector game but also Galaga, Tempest, Tron, Defender, Rampage and many more)! Ironically, I came to the pinball party late; maybe it was the cost per play that threw me off initially (and the fact that I stunk ) but over the last dozen years, I have grown to appreciate it even more. I'm all about the visuals so if a game has great lighting effects and toys, I'm in! A great storyline also factors into the game becoming a favorite. Out of the newer games I really enjoy Foo Fighters because it contains a lot of the aforementioned, but my old T2 is one of my favorite older machines (and you can't go wrong with a Williams pin). I've taken my love for arcade culture to the next level with a new retro arcade/taproom called Pixels Arcade & Taproom that's opening in downtown San Rafael, CA early spring of 2024 -- games are set to free play for one low admission price. Stop by, say hi, and check out one of our pins!
