One weekend, once a year, local pinball and arcade collectors get together and build a massive arcade for the public to play. And we need your help to make it happen! The show is non-profit, totally run by volunteers, and all the games are volunteered by the local collector community.
We need games! The games list is starting to fill out, but we really need alot more people to volunteer to bring games. We need your help! Plus we have incentives like having the show pick up your games, getting free passes for you and your family or friends, and more!

    Incentives for self-transported games:
1-3 Machines = one weekend pass per game, five $1 prize draw tickets.
4-6 Machines = one weekend pass per game to a max of 5, ten $1 prize draw tickets.
7+ Machines = up to five weekend passes, ten $1 prize draw tickets

Incentives for games that the show transports:
3-5 Machines (3 minimum) = one weekend pass, five $1 prize draw tickets.
6-8 Machines = two weekend passes, ten $1 prize draw tickets.
9-11 Machines = three weekend passes, ten $1 prize draw tickets
12+ Machines = up to five weekend passes, ten $1 prize draw tickets

Please consider getting involved and bringing games, let's put on a fun event for all of us and the larger community.

We still need more games for the show and could really use your help getting there! Also these are the upcoming meetings and repair parties:

Sunday, May 5th, 12pm-2pm: Show Volunteer Meeting in Burien!
This will be the last meeting before the show! Get the latest news as we finalize details and see what areas of the show still need help and work. We will have posters and flyers to distribute as well as free pizza! Address: Roundtable Pizza, 15730 1st Ave S, Burien, WA 98148.

Saturday, May 11th, 12-5pm: Repair Party at the Northwest Pinball Collective!
Bring your games, monitors and boards you need help with or want to work on to the repair party. No projects? No worries! Come help others, sit in as others test and fix games and learn and chat with other collectors. If you know of a specific game or part you need help with, if you let us know ahead of time, we can try to bring the right parts and testing equipment (otherwise, your options for help may be more limited). Address: 1120 N 97th St, Seattle WA 98103.

What are you selling or looking to buy at the show? I'll have a Fish Tales and Ripley's that will both on the floor up for sale. And a Bram Stoker's Dracula if I can resolve it's issue before the game cut off point. I have a worn but working Bally's Truck Stop I could bring and sell for cheap. I got lots of parts and some backglasses I could bring if people are looking for anything in particular.

We will post in depth profiles on all of our special guests soon, as well as the speaker/seminar schedule. But here's who we know will be here:

->Brian Eddy! Designer for Medieval Madness, Venom, Stranger Things and other great games.

->Johnny Crap! Pinball artist for Jurassic Park, Labyrinth, the homebrew 8 Ball Beyond and designer of this year's poster.

->Dwight Sullivan! Programmer for Star Trek Next Generation, T2, Venom, the Mandalorian and dozens of other Williams and Stern games.

->David van Es! CEO of the new pinball company Barrels of Fun that just produced the new Labyrinth Game.

->Warren Davis! Creator the the legendary Q*Bert arcade game and a rare laserdisc game called Us vs. Them.

->Jerry Thompson! Jerry has done sound on over 20 Stern pinball games, including Jaws, Venom, Godzilla, Jurassic Park, and Deadpool.

Since we will have three of the people that worked on Venom and two of the people that worked on Labyrinth at the show, you can guess what some of the seminars will likely be covering

Talk has been finalized. I should say talks. In order to accommodate the desire for both "basic" and "advanced" demand, I signed up for TWO talks. Yes. I know. That's crazy. If you're interested in someone sharing some knowledge, and are on the fence about coming to the show, then I hope the following might convince you to come and visit us at the show.

The titles have been handed off and the show website will be updated at some point.

    1. Divide and Conquer - Break the Problem Down with First Principles
    2. The Power of 2 - The Marriage between Software and Hardware

The first talk is the "basic" talk. It will cover fundamentals of knowledge (the minimum you need to know) for both mechanical and electrical. The focus will be on electrical since most people have problems with electrical (as you can't see electrical problems whereas you can often see mechanical problems). After all that, I will try to cover troubleshooting using that knowledge. One of the medics last year said he wanted to "level up". This is way to level up.

The second talk is the "advanced" talk. It will focus on digital logic. It won't necessarily focus on troubleshooting since the premise of the first talk is that knowledge allows you to troubleshoot.

If you're interested in leveling up but fear some of these topics might be over your head, I would still encourage attendance. Often, it is more important to have been exposed to something (I heard that term before) than to have never been exposed to it. You will surprise yourself by opening up your mind to learning new things.

In the end being able to rely on yourself to fix your own problems rather than relying on someone else should be the ultimate goal. This is the essence of tertiary education. Knowing your limits and learning how to learn.

As most of you know, the Northwest Pinball & Arcade Show is a 100% volunteer run, non-profit event! Volunteers get free passes and other perks and there is a huge, fun community behind this show. As a non-profit, each year we give money to different causes.

This year we are giving $5,000 to Project Pinball, an organization that brings pinball and fun to Children’s hospitals! Project Pinball is hosting a raffle for a Jungle King pinball machine (donated by James Edes) to help raise an additional $5,000 so we can place a new pinball game in a local hospital! Project Pinball will be at the show with the game in their booth and at the end of the show the lucky winner takes it home. Support a good cause and maybe win a game!

As in past years, Marco and Next Level will be offering discounted pricing on new Stern games at the show. Games usually get about 500 plays in their booth for the 3 days, then you take it home. These do go towards volunteering a game for the show, so you also get a free weekend pass if you buy one.

It's a great way to pick up a new game at a discounted price and not to have to deal with shipping! If you are interested, direct message me for more info or contact Marco directly at: [email protected] or 1-803-957-5500

Here are the games that will be available, 37 in all, there will be both pros and premiums of many of the the games:

i'll see what i can do but those are both still a long way from ready. then again, i don't have too much with easy repairs to do first so i might give one or both some attention.

i'll have help getting them from my house to the show and back since they'll send a truck, but i'll be getting them prepped and staged where the truck can pick them up. a bunch i'll have to go grab from storage, but my new van can haul 4 pins or 2 pins and 2 standard 19" video games which'll make it go faster.

Any chance Looney Tunes will be at the show?

    Quoted from DeeGor:

Any chance Looney Tunes will be at the show?

unfortunately, many pinball manufacturers have chosen Nitro Pinball as their distributor to service Western Washington and Nitro is not welcome as a part of the show. this leads to a sometimes convoluted path for manufacturers to have their newest games here; some are willing to negotiate this path and others are unwilling or too under-resourced to do it.

usually Jersey Jack will insure there are a few of their games available through the Seattle Pinball Museum or Next Level, Stern partners with Next Level as their local representative in addition to being featured by Marco Specialties in their massive booth, Chicago Gaming has been very generous showing off their machines, and this year i have been working with Barrels of Fun to bring at least one Labyrinth for attendees to enjoy. Spooky and American Pinball, among a few others, haven't made the same efforts recently and therefore we have not featured their latest creations the last few events, though with luck a few have appeared having been provided by fans.

i believe there may be one or two other manufacturers showing off their latest creations as well, including Pindretti's Funhouse remake.

i am not in a position with the show to discuss the reasons behind the division between NWPAS and Nitro here; i will say however that my personal interactions with and understanding of an incident the owner was involved in has soured me to ever supporting his business and i choose to avoid purchasing any games through his company.

This is unfortunate (to say the least). Hopefully a resolution is achieved in the future as this has been a negative for the NW Show in recent years.

This is unfortunate (to say the least). Hopefully a resolution is achieved in the future as this has been a negative for the NW Show in recent years.

it is unfortunate that the actions of one individual can affect so many, but here we are.

the board and staff have been working on resolutions that do not involve Nitro Pinball, but those are dependent on the manufacturers making the effort as well.

not being on the board and mostly involved on an at-the-show level, with my understanding of the currently relationship (or lack there-of,) i do not see Nitro being part of the show again, but i can't say that might not change at some point.

    Quoted from AnimeDude892:

NWPinballshow How many games are you guys up to now?

Around 350. Two large collections haven't been listed yet and a lot of people wait until the last minute. I don't know if we will hit last year's 450 games, but we should easily break our 400 goal.
