A Challenging and Fast-Paced Pinball Tournament for All Levels of Players

Beer Thug Thursday Strikes Tournament! This is a challenging and fast-paced pinball tournament for all levels of players. Each tournament is a 4 Fair Strikes Knockout Tournament format with the winners being determined by “last player standing”. Each standalone tourney prize pool includes cash for the top 2 Players, and prizes for 3rd and 4th place + more fun like consolation and high-score prizes. Entry fee is $9 + $1 IFPA FEE plus coin-drop.

Tournament details:

Sign in opens at 700pm. Tournament starts at 730pm Sharp – we can’t late-start this one!
We are running a MatchPlay tournament using MatchPlay events
There will probably be 9 machines in use. Machines used TBD tournament day.
Players will be grouped in groups of threes or fours
0/1/1/2 strikes are given to 1st/2nd/3rd/4th place finishers Three-player groups get 0/1/2 strikes Two-player groups get 0/2 strikes
We reserve the right to accelerate strikes at 930pm in order to end by 10pm, depending on how many players are left
In each round each group will play a single game on a randomly selected machine.
We are using Swiss player pairing.
Entry fee: $9. + $1.00 for IFPA Players Fee (plus coin drop in the qualifying rounds only)
Cash for 1st and 2nd, Prizes for 3rd and 4th (with consolations)

About the venue: Haven’t been to Beer Thug yet? Come check out this awesome location and bring your friends! Last February we were awarded Stern’s Brewery of the Month. There are 9 epic games meticulously kept by Gonzalo (including Stern’s most recent titles), along with a twist on traditional craft beer by the Brew Master, Edgar, at one of Southern California’s Premier Hispanic-owned breweries. You can get a fruit sour ale, or IPA based, Michelada – or even a non-alcoholic one if you are trying to keep your pinball edge. There are rotating food vendors, with tacos, ceviche and more at this HUGE historic brick building in the heart of the founding area of the City of Bell. It is a gem certainly worth checking out – only 20 minutes from our LB location!
