    Dear All

    Here another warning.
I am from outside the USA and bought some articles from Mad-Amusements.
As long as I did send any money, I had a good, fast and very nice contact to JD, from Mad Amusements. Since I sent money truth wire transfer, I never heared anything more from him. That is one month ago. I wrote several E-Mails, several phone calls, without any success.

Is there some possibility for me?

    regards

    #2 9 years ago

I was just talking on Sunday with my Pin Tech. Had the exact same thing happen to him.

    #3 9 years ago

Seems to happen over and over with this vendor - if you are overseas - good luck. Sorry to hear about this.

just recently got parts form MAD and came quickly . even got jollyranchers

    #6 9 years ago

I paid I full via PayPal and nothing. Started a chargeback and they said they wanted a wire transfer. They hadn't refunded my original payment and no way was I going to send yet more via a method with no payment protection. Useless company.

    #7 9 years ago

Unfortunate. I have never had any problems domestically with Mad Amusements, other than using foam peanuts as packing material. That's a common problem with pinball vendors though

Lots of posts here on Pinside about MAD. If you are in US then there is no problem - International buyers should avoid.

    #9 9 years ago

I've dealt with MAD multiple times. I've always received good service.

One of these international threads pops up quite often about MAD. If I were outside of the US, I would probably not use them as a parts vendor.

If they have something you can't get from anywhere else, I'd suggest finding a friend in the states that could be a surrogate for you, and have them buy the part you need from MAD and send it along to you.

    Dear all

I dont want to read here anything about good experiences. That is the reason why I believed it will work.
    So once again
DONT SEND ANY MONEY TO MAD-AMUSEMENTS!

Further I was asking for any possibility for me. Is there? We are talking about 1200USD.

    regards

Everyone should avoid, regardless of whether they are ordering from the US or abroad. MAD is BAD NEWS and we are not being good stewards to pinball when Americans support a vendor who continues to take money from our fellow hobbyists overseas and fails to deliver products.

Continuing to order from MAD and support MAD is basically telling him it's OK to keep doing what he's doing - and it's not!

    #12 9 years ago

Maybe all these guys that say Mad is ok for them should pitch in and send you your money back! It's the least they can to for being so bold as to state their good experience on your bad experience thread!

    Mad Bad! Mad Bad!

Mad has credited me for overages when shipping was less. Ive been very happy with them. probably some misunderstandings

    #15 9 years ago

Do these international orders eventually come through?

If not than there must be some legal options. I guess it depends what the total would be collectively.

Personally, I have oreded several times from MAD with nothing but good results. Mind you, I stopped ordering from them a couple years ago once people from other sites were being screwed over. So far parts I needed were available elsewhere.

DO NOT REPLY TO THIS THREAD IF YOU RESIDE IN THE USA!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive bought from them before, got my parts promptly. Thanks MAD! Would buy from again.

Edit----Although, I haven't bought from them in well over a year......I always buy from Pinballife first, then Marco's

This is way too many times for misunderstandings.

    Domestic orders get filled quickly.

International orders either don't get filled at all, or it's like pulling teeth. Nothing new here.. just more of the same old same old MAD BS.

    #20 9 years ago

I bought from them once, and I did eventually get my order. But I would never buy from them again unless I can pick it up in person or have someone else do it for me.

As for the OP question, hard to say - you may also eventually get your order, but don't give up hassling them about it. The bad part is that you have no recourse with getting your money back, but you could talk to your bank (assuming you sent it through them) and see what they have to say. Hope it eventually works out for you as that is a fair amount of cash to 'lose'.

    #21 9 years ago

I have ordered from them in the past. BUT, I have just heard way too much negative feedback about Mad Amusements and I don't plan to order anything from them ever again. I mean, if Marco, PBL, Stern, or PBR don't have it, then probably no one has it!

    17
    #22 9 years ago

I will refuse to order from them until this and others get their $ or orders. Hope that helps and good luck.

    #23 9 years ago

I stopped two years ago when I dealt with him in person at the Allentown show. The man is a d-Bag!

    Dear All,

If you are outside of the USA, don't buy from this vendor as discussed a million times on here already. US buyers still can buy and enjoy their candy.

    So once again
    regards.

    I agree 100% with this.

I'm waiting for the post that describes Mad's disappearance after he rips the wrong person off. If you buy from this ((guy)edited by mod), you do nothing but support this guy's behaviour.

.....but then again, f%^k the other guys in pinball, as long as you get the part you need for a good price huh?

Okay, so when MAD is the only one left with a part you need, just don't order, when you've had no problems?

No positive stories in this thread?

The OP does not need positive stories, that does not help him get his money back.

i have made dozens of orders and haven't had an issue to date and always get a shipping refund and candy. why would i not support a guy who has not wronged me.

So if a guy was raping all the men on the 3rd floor of your apartment building, but because you live on the 2nd floor, you would support him because he has not raped you?

    -21

    don't live in an apartment.

You would first have to make sure you have an actual crime committed and not just hearsay because an scorned ex lover is just trying to seek revenge because they were rejected.

In other words do we know for sure 100%, the money was ripped off in a theft or was the order just refused and we have an unhappy person? Is there any factual proof money was sent and received by MAD at all? I'd love to see facts that's what we as people base our decisions on, not just words through an internet that we have zero proof it's fact or not.

did u read the above.. i guess not.... those outside the US ARE HAVING DEFINATE ISSUES. I.E. NOT RECEIVING THEIR PAID GOODS. so i would suggest at this point of time, anyone outside the US do not order from MAD. until this gets sorted, if it does. op, pls keep the thread moving on updates.

    don't live in an apartment.

You will when you are older and your home is taken by the government.

    Tonight....you.....

I have stopped using mad because of the posts I have read about him ripping people off but when I used to order, I always got my order quick, usually within 2 days.

    #35 9 years ago

Mad always ships fast on time and with out any issues. It's sad this is how they treat international buyers, what I never seem to understand is why this day and age people still send money with out protection. Why do people keep sending money with out protection.

    Quoted from inhomearcades:

especially a considerable amount, at least do some seller research first and then send it the best recourse method as possible once you feel comfortable with the sale.

    #37 9 years ago

OK so with your logic, I have met Mike in person before (several times) and I have to say from personal experience that Mike from MAD is a "NUT JOB"!!!

Off the top of my head, every MAD amusements post that has positive feedback also recommends international buyers should probably stay away. I sympathize with the problems being experienced but why do guys keep trying to put their hand in the fire and then complain about being burnt?

I quit using them after reading all of the negative feedback with these intl orders. It is just bad business. Why support that?

Marco, PBL, and PBR get most of my money. Even when Steve's an arse I keep coming back because he's good people and good for the hobby.

I live in the usa...we have freedom of choice here...my choice is to buy from MAD when they have something I need...no one is going to tell me who I should or should not buy from...

we've been through this same song and dance with this same vendor so many times before.

apparently there is a significant contingent here who are perfectly ok supporting and speaking up for a scumbag who repeatedly rips people off, as long as THEY aren't the ones getting ripped off. they should be ashamed of themselves, but they're not. that's how it goes down every time.

It makes the list of "assholes" a bit more clear on Pinside.

If you buy from Mad, knowing what he does to other pinball people...yes you are an asshole.

We don't have to ASSUME anything or DOUBT the OP. These types of things have happened so often I don't need to "see the facts". All the other 99,999 cases were factual. This dirt bag has absolutely no respect or regard for our friends from overseas. I shudder each time I read one of these rip-off stories. The guy is a crook and a psycho.

I believe I'll blow my own brains out if I read one more effing "I got MY shit from Mad and I'm ever so happy with Mike, and he even refunded some of the shipping charges (that I was over-charged for in the first place), and I got a little piece of candy from the fat bastard! I'm so happy. I think I'll get his invoice and go to the bathroom and pleasure myself with it. I'm having a great time living in my own little world where I never think about the plight of anyone else. Screw everyone but ME!"

so I guess you guys don't eat at McDonalds, Denny's, Cocos, Chili's, Burger King, Carls Jr., I HOP, Sizzler etc. or buy stuff from Sears, Best Buy, Kohls, Wal Mart, Radio Shack, Target etc.
and don't buy gas from Arco, Shell, Mobil, 76, Chevron etc ???

because I guarantee you those places piss off plenty of customers as well...I you don't agree with their business practice than don't buy from ... Just because someone feels differently than you they are an asshole?
