I finally have all the playfield lights working, except pac-maze (bulbs on the way), and displays (all untested). New rubbers installed and the game is a great play, except for the repetitive ding sound like a carnival game. I recapped the s&t, reflowed the header pins and cleaned all the back box female connectors. On sound test everything sounds way better and clearer. But still the ding continues. During game play it will momentarily change tones if a switch is pressed, but back to the ding right after. Pacc-maze game lights up, but no action with the flippers.

Added a few temporary ground connections to see if that helps, but only for a moment, then back to ding ding ding ding ding. I'm planning on running an independent ground from the lower cabinet to all the ground plans. Waiting on fuses to try and get the displays working. Maybe that is the issue?????? Any ideas???? Also on the lookout for a second mmpm transformer or equivalent for a full restoration of another mmpm. Thanks in advance.

Did you set the sound options on the mpu board to not use the dinging sounds....

I will double check the mpu board settings tonight.

If the game has had battery failure chances are the audit setting for game features have either cleared to 0 or scrambled to gibberish settings. Most of the game feature settings you'll want will be 03. Check the manual for the other settings.
