I'm sorry for your loss, to those of us that love, this hurts deeply.
Another in your future? Plenty that need you.

RIP Millie…

Sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful looking cat. She looked like a really good helper.

Great picture of Millie on the drill press. So sorry for your loss. Millie is looking down you from kitty heaven.

sorry for your loss. What a beautiful cat.
After 6 weeks, the cone is off our dear little Charlotte. Recall she had a bad injury with a recliner and needed a tail amputation. She's a very happy kitty now, and even asked to have her tail pulled (a favorite pre-injury activity). Her hair is slowly growing back. So glad to have this behind us.

I like the new look, her tail is very stylish. Looking forward to seeing it bushy again. Well done Charlotte!

Marvin isn't impressed by the size of the new box.
Drop a sheet over the front. That will be a game changer for him.
Congrats over your new purchase.
One of my cats is slim and tall, extremely athletic and can jump higher than any of my other cats, yet somehow has a huge pouch. I mess with her and jiggle that pouch whenever I get a chance. Not sure she appreciates it. LOL!

That's their primordial pouch! Just learned what it was called not too long ago
Quoted from Knxwledge:That's their primordial pouch!
Yup, works as fat storage to be burned off later, and protects their vulnerable underside.
My wife and I are flying back from Antigua today. The resort had 3 cats that were all extremely well behaved very friendly. They didn’t jump up on tables when people were eating and would just quietly sit next to you if you were having dinner.
The mother would come by our room every night to hang out while my wife and I enjoyed the evening. She kept trying to get into the room.
I only got pictures of her because I tried to leave my phone in the safe as much as possible so I wouldn’t use it.

Is that Sandals? We were at Sandals Antigua in May and very similar experience. We had a cat that visited nightly and rested in my lap.
Sandals captures, neuters and releases the cat population, and they have a cat cafe set up to ensure the cats are well fed.
The cats were one of the best parts of our stay.

This is Ms Dr Strange. Before I could pet her, I guessed it was a male. She has fur thinned around her hind quarters so I was calling her Mr Dr Strange, 'cause she looks strange. She has apparently adopted our neighbors but decided to meet Charlie today, low and behold, he is a She, so we call her Ms Dr Stange. Not sure what they call her, but they are taking good care of her.
She seems like a sweet girl.

It wasn’t but the Cat Cafe looks awesome! We were at Keyonna Beach Resort.
I'm not sure what's with the recent additions to our cathood, but tonight Charlie and I officially met OJ. This big boy has been hanging out in the woods beside our domicile for a while now. He came close to letting me pet him once, well the wait is over.
He seemed pretty happy to get a pet pet.

Why is the other cat so thin???

I think that's a dog. Skinny little Heinz dog. Tail is wagging fast.
Quoted from Alan_L:I think that's a dog. Skinny little Heinz dog. Tail is wagging fast.
Yes, OJ is the orange tabby, Charlie is the pooch, he lives with three inside cats and 5 or 6 outside ones (hence we are pretty sure he thinks he is a cat). OJ is a "new" addition, although he has yet to come up on the porch while all the others are eating, he appears to be fed pretty well.

Hi all, my little buddy Alex who’s 16.5 has not been well lately. Last Wednesday he came inside with a swelled paw roughly 2.5 times the normal size so I brought him to the vet. She did some x-rays and turns out he’s filled with fluid covering his heart, lungs and kidneys so she was ready to put him down. I wasn’t ready and neither was Alex so she gave him a shot to help the swelling. He’s since been on furosemide twice a day and been getting lots of leg/paw rubs. By the way his leg/paw rubs seem to help, I gave him a super leg/paw massage the other day and when we woke up the next morning his paw was back to normal. He’s eating, purring, and loving being around people which is weird since he’s always run away from strangers his whole life. He’s being spoiled with a little shrimp or chicken for lunch and has been pretty happy still going outside going on his short adventures. Anyway, I’m wondering if any of you cat loving pinballers have any suggestions or advice in keeping him happy and comfortable? Also…Alex says hello!

It sounds to me like you're doing a fantastic job keeping that handsome boy happy and confortable! Here's hoping Alex makes a full recovery!
Chris
Way to go JB! Alex looks pretty happy. Who wouldn’t want chicken or shrimp for lunch? Best wishes for a continued recovery for the big guy.

My best advice is to love him as much as you can. You are doing all the right things. Let him dictate the activities. He will let you know when it's time, just listen to him. My Heart and empathy go out to you and Alex.
Quoted from SilverUnicorn:Calvin approved the new floor mat before it was even in place

Those mats are the ONE thing that Stern gets right, quality wise. My cats haven’t been able to destroy them like they did with the cheap similar mats you can get at Walmart. Those do not do well with cats.

Hello Alex! Stay strong Alex’s dad. As long as he’s eating and happy then cherish every single day. Best of luck.

Great job, lots of head butts and some love. Should do the trick.
Thanks everyone for the advice and well wishes! Alex is seemingly doing quite well at the moment. We’re tricking him into eating his meds by mixing it with this stuff called Churu. He loves it, when he sees it come out of the fridge he starts dancing with excitement.

OKay, that made me smile. Cute as hell.
Sorry for some bad news. This is our family member McGregor and he is missing in action. He has been missing since I let him outside Thursday at 655am. When he was not at home when my wife came home for lunch and he was not there, we thought it was strange. Then he did not show up for dinner around 6 I had a bad feeling. We are still searching our Neighborhood and the animal shelter so we still keep the hope he will come home safely. Thank you everyone

I'm sorry to hear this. If I lived closer I would be helping. Keep your chin up, hope for the best. Go out and call for him every so often. If he's hurt and close somewhere that may encourage him to come out.

Maybe stuck in a neighbor's garage? My neighbor's cat and mom to my cat Michi loves my garage. I have to check just about everyday as she has been locked inside before for two and a half days before. No worse for wear though, so good luck with McGregor.
