Hey Jonnyo thanks for the interest - couple of notes:
Be careful about naming and shaming a location like that - it may have consequences once this page is indexed by search engines. Please consider editing your post to remove the location's name/location. That said, sounds fun.
Re: EM hate - hanging out on pinside as recently as a couple of months ago, there were many people saying that all EMs were terrible and they didn't understand why anyone would ever want to play much less own an EM. Today, there is much less of that as the modern game collector's start buying an EM, fixing it and giving the gameplay a chance. I'm glad that the folks you associate with do not hold that belief.
The bingos get their own special dose of hatred from generations of anger at all pinball being banned.
But I hope that in my own small way I can show that these games are incredibly fun to play.

There are still a lot of Bingos on location in Pennsylvania and Tennessee that are ran this way. The "system" is alive and well. Besides, they all have those placards that say "For Amusement Only; No Gambling Permitted"

I bought a slightly used Tahiti from Bill Doll in York about 17 years ago. I believe it came from the truckload of NIB Tahiti's that have been slowly sold over the past twenty years.

One of the only Bally buildings still standing in Chicago is the Bingo pin building on Roscoe https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/anyone-have-bally-factory-photos-1979-1983/page/2#post-5507837

I'm just getting around to unpacking and reviewing my Bally stuff from my move out West two years ago.
I recall someone asking for a photo of Don Hooker. I ran across an article in the Summer, 1982 edition of the Bally Tally employee newsletter about Accounting's Bill Lynch's retirement party. Here is one of over thirty photos. Standing next to Don is Warren Pemberton, Novelty Pinball designer Ward Pemberton's Dad, who a lot of us know.

Hey MrBally, I'm not sure I understand - did you want me to post a photo, or were you trying to post a photo?

Sorry for the confusion, I edited my post.

Here's something interesting, from the Winter 1981-82 Bally Tally; Gus Nitz, of the Roscoe (Bingo plant) test department retired in November, 1981. Look close at the two pictures from the plant floor where his retirement party was held; They were still making Bingo machines at the end of 1981. Is that a Dixieland or Mississippi Showboat?

Trivia: my first ever flipper pinball machine was a Bally Galahad. Inside, on the coin door was the Bally "Quality
Inspected" sticker with the name "Mr Malec, Factory Checker" listed. He's in the bottom left photo above.....

Retirement party for Chet Nytko, from the Oakley Boulevard Bally Plant (Glass silkscreening). Don Hooker was at this party as well.

In some of these photos you will see a man named Tony Brocato. He was a great guy who helped me out through the years. I'll never forget the time I needed 20 pin Molex connectors for early Solid State pins and could not get them anywhere. Even on backorder through the Bally distributing network. I called him and asked him if he could help. On Christmas morning in 1981, our doorbell rings. In front of the house in a working class Detroit neighborhood is a Military Jeep, Green, with a Star. We open the door and the army guy, in uniform hands me a small box, from Bally, marked "Special Delivery". There were ten of the connectors inside.
The Bally Parts department was still in the city on Rockwell & Belmont. Tony went to the Bensenville plant and got them from Production for me. I'll never forget that.

More Don sightings from 1982. With a Tahiti in the plant! 1982, not 1979....
