My second favorite game (right behind TZ) is this Steve Ritchie masterpiece.

The art is great, and is marred only by the smallest things. A couple of the backglass likenesses are not too spot on (Worf) and the decision to use the "rogue" Borg ship instead of the "classic" Borg cube was a mistake... still, everything else is really high quality, so not a big deal at all. The sound is FANTASTIC, with custom dialog recorded by the real cast, hundreds of voice calls and authentic sound effects and clean, clear music all right from the show. The playfield, again, is a triumph, with big ramps, plenty of shots and great toys... the only real flaw is the MONSTER RIGHT OUTLANE. The rules and play cap off an excellent package, with lots to do, plenty of strategies and of course, Steve Ritchie's trademark speed and flow.

If you REALLY HATE Star Trek, this game probably won't do anything for you, because it's SO WELL INTEGRATED with it's theme it's not even funny. If, on the otherhand, you like Star Trek, or even aren't really into it and just like pinball, play this game! NOW!

I agree with most things you say here but the last. I am not a big Star Trek fan (in fact, I kind of dislike the show) but still I love this game! Like you said, the shots are so well laid it's creepy! As for the right outlane, I installed a new lane guide, which makes the change of draining through that particular side a lot smaller. That really helped make this game more fun.

Where did you get the lane guide for the right outlane? (or what kind?) There is something evil and sinister about that side and needs to purified :)

I got the corrected lane guides from ShootMAgain, but just checked and they don't have it in the webshop anymore ;-(
